too bad (for some, not me..) this scene is filled with gay people and e tards..

nothign we can do about it..

i guess they all have to learn to be open minded.. otherwise they will be missing on freaking awesome shows..

Posted by MarkT on Nov-10-2005 21:23:

yeah, exactly...people are different...keeps the world interesting. I'm even glad there are crazy sketched out human trains of older asian women wandering around at Guv (in moderation). I shake my head and laugh to myself, but it's part of what "going to Guv" is all about. If it was 2000 people who all dressed, acted and thought the same way, it would be less interesting (for me) for sure.

anyone who doesn't like it can pop in a CD or mp3s and stay home...or can attend (or open up their own) club that tries try to cater to whatever crowd they enjoy.

fact of the matter here is that Calderone has a massive gay following which will follow him to any venue...I don't expect str8 people to go to a circuit party, but they should expect gays to show up anywhere Calderone spins.

LOL...Victor doesn't even play Circuit music...he is an amazing DJ and no matter what the crowd, its all about the music and vibe...right?

Many people talk about how amazing the vibe was at Industry...that was because it was a mixed crowd...the best of all different walks of life together for one reason...GOOD TUNES!

Anyhow, I am going to be taking a trip to NYC next week and will be seeing Demi, Sander, Chus and Ceballos, and Victor...I will make sure to let them all know how much the TA's love them so.

;-)

Exactly. I agree.

I don't mind gay people, but I DO MIND gay parties... and that's EXACTLY what the last couple of parties where Calderone spun (in Toronto) were. Organized for gay people, by (I presume) gay community.

Thanks, but no thanks.

It's not all about the music. But thanks for the unsolicited advice though.

I think Serb is disgusted at the shirtless AND pantless men tuggin on each others wee wees, not just the shirtless men. I too would pass on the tunes. It has nothing to do with being 'open minded'.

You are missing my point I think.

I have seen men without pants before. I have no problem being around gay men. They do not bother me, I do not bother them, nor do I have a reason to, but what I see DOES bother me and it is something I would rather not watch. Which is why I choose not to go to a circuit party. It makes perfect sense. I enjoy clubbing, not male sex shows.

Exactly my point.

Now, if Calderone was brough to T.O. by Carey on a "regular night", for a "regular party" geared towards the "general public", I'm pretty sure I'd feel a lot more comfortable in that environment. Even with a few gay men around. Catch my drift?

Finally! I'm so glad that Victor is coming! I've been looking to see this guy forever!

I think seeing him @ Stereo on Feb-11 would be insanity.

Hmm, seems I didn't see this back when you posted it.

I don't go to the zone because I dread the day I walk out of there, on to Spadina, and am seen by coworkers or someone else outside of the scene whose opinion I respect. I live in the area and I see the people that come out of there, and while most of them are probably nice respectable people on other days of the week, the people I see filter out of there and towards the ATM on a Sunday afternoon scare the shit out of me.

I've warmed up to it a little I guess, but in all honestly the excess that prevails at the comfort zone is something that I, as a clubber, have grown out of.

On the other hand, I have little concern over being seen with gay people or leaving a gay bar. I've been involved with gay pride for several years now and will happily show my "PRIDE" to anyone. Not wanting to be associated with excessive drug use is entirely different than not wanting to be associated with gay people.

It amazes me the disrespect shown towards GLBT members of tranceaddict. Did someone just call them "degenerates"? that's absolutely pathetic and disgusting.

Seriously! Agree 100%.

Posted by Skipper on Feb-04-2006 21:57:

I am so appalled that someone called gay people "degenerates." those kinds of comments have no place on this board.

So infuriating. I equate that kind of discrimination with racism.

Posted by AfterHours27 on Feb-04-2006 22:14:

The homosexual mafia has taken over the world. They are going to distroy our core values that have been developed by centuries. They are pushing their gay agenda through movies, tv programs, bumper stickers and etc. It's as if they want to show off to everyone that they are proud of being gay. Fear God. God created a woman to be unity with man.....not men doing each other in the ass..... it's so disgusting to see them at nightclubs. Why don't they want to start booking headliners for their own clubs at Church/Wellesley or something? Because of them, lots of good looking girls don't want to attend venues where they know these shameless shmucks are going to be.

Posted by Skipper on Feb-04-2006 22:19:

WHAT
THE
HELL

If you hate gays so much, you'd best not be leaving your house...1 in 10 of your friends, your coworkers, your FAMILY members, is gay, lesbian, bi or transgendered. and that is a conservative number. and that is a fact that has existed for centuries!

Being GAY is not an AGENDA!
It is not a CHOICE!
It is not a TREND!

This community has fostered on ACCEPTANCE. You will not find very many people in this scene who share your ignorance. thank god.

Posted by Skipper on Feb-04-2006 22:26:

I'm backing out of this thread.

I do not want to catch the disease....of ignorance.

Posted by VERTiG0 on Feb-04-2006 22:30:

This thread just got all kinds of hilarious.

I don't condone it and I disagree with it but man it's hilarious to read peoples' crazy fucking opinions, I'll tell you that much
