I love Zabiela. I listen to the Sasha & Zabs Back2Back set from the Monday Bar (2003) like daily.
When it goes:
Way Out West - Apollo
Sasha - XPander (Phantom Beats Bootleg)
Shpongle - Dorset Perception (Phil K Mix)
U.N.K.L.E. - In A State (Sasha Remix)
I go:
In order.

He has superb production and track selection skills, although I dont like his music. In fact alot of turntablists have many more successful productions behind them than zabiela does...look at Kid Koala. His productions are great. What does he do with the cdjs that is so "unreal" if you would care to explain. Setting hot cues to edit/remix a track is something many djs have been doing for a while. Do you consider looping a scratch sample, running it through the 1/4 tranform effect on and efx 500, and moving the jet effect wheel along as you spin the cdj platter backwards, and adjusting the timing with the paremeter knob to exit the scratch unreal? |
your right..lol
