He's prob gonna do another short notice show like in Feb. Any event planned ahead of time for Tiesto will be way too packed so im fine if he comes on short notice.

Actually, I highly doubt it, if anything its a smart move for him because what hes seeing is that alot of people are getting into the progressive house tunes. So he twisted his style a bit to fit what the people are liking at the moment without totally escaping the trance sounds. That being said, if anyone is gonna start dropping its gonna be the trance DJs and the progressive house DJs will get a boost.

People act like progressive house music is a new thing its been around since the mid 90's

Posted by Vlad on May-04-2005 03:17:

I dont think i singled you out, just a lot of people relatively new to the scene infer this. Which in any case is not true.. William orbits label pioneered the sound in the mid 90's with artist liek d-shake, spooky, react to rhythm etc...

Single me out??? Dude you just im'd me asking me "so when are you going to grow out of trance?" LOL don't be getting all pissy whit me dude. I was busting your balls for posting stupid ass pics in my thread....thats all.

Posted by Member of X on May-04-2005 03:27:

I never understand the ragging of trance by some on this board. I don't go onto country music boards and call everything shit (because I inherently hate all country music so what would be the bloody point). Likewise, this is TRANCEaddict, not houseaddict.

I love both as long as it's good. I guess my tastes haven't changed, I still love trance after 6 years. There's some good and some really bad. Tiesto lately hasn't been grabbing me. But I enjoy this comp in spots.

Gah i could careless if you like trance you know that i just wanted to harass you a bit before i posted the pick lol. I should have said grow out of this whole tiesto phase that would have been more apt... And stop with the smilies !!!!!

I think that it is just a genre that is easier for Americans to get into. Trance, I noticed is a bit "much" for someone to enjoy if they have never really listened to EDM. But progressive house is a bit easier on the ear I think and just fits closer to that jungle bunny beat that Americans know and love.

I don't doubt SVETA, she knows her stuff and is awesome

I'm the one to know

Btw, the album was already leaked on the net

The tracklist on the first CD especially is not like Tiesto @ all. I would never imagine him spinning Tilt - Twelve (Dousk Mix)
I caught some minor offbeats too on it. Oh well

My whole point of this tread was to get the opinions of those in our LOCAL forum......not from people I don't converse with on a daily basis. But thanks for your worthless input.

Yeah, I realize that you just like to regurgitate what's already been said many times before, that you really have no original thoughts of your own, and that you really have nothing to say but still need to be the loudest voice in the room.

It's cool, though - I don't care. I was just pointing you in the direction of some actual music discussion because that's what I thought you were actually trying to discuss here.

Highlight tracks for me:
CD1
02.Tonedepth & Soultan - Moments
06.Coca And Vila - La Noche
12.BT - The Force Of Gravity (Tiesto Remix)
CD2
10.Tiesto Ft. Matt Hales Form Aqualung - UR (Junkie XL Remix)

Mixing: Sometimes decent, sometimes not... However, I didn't start listening to this CD with the mixing in mind. CD 1 is in fact quite isos like, especially the first half of it. The last track sorta doesn't quite fit lol although it is still a good track!

Overall, a good cd to plug into the car / pc and to listen to

Could be better, but could be much worse, and definitely worth getting and/or listening to

Anticipation: Armin's artist album quality without question.. the big question though is when it comes out... I guess we will find out soon enough!

Posted by DOOMBOT on May-04-2005 13:40:

My most anticipated for this year is/was...

PoD2
ASOT 2005
AvB Artist
ISOS4

So far ASOT (the only release) is an average cd. Didnt kick my ass or anything but also not bad at the same time.

On a serious note....I don't even bother reading those review threads much anymore. Too many uneducated picks on there that love throwing around immature comments like...."I hope Tiesto finds his sunrise soon" So in all reality im not regurgitating anything because I didn't bother to read any reviews....therefore I didn't bother to post any thoughts of my own untill I experienced it myself.

We were ment to be long lost best friends Trancer-X
