Originally posted by Moral Hazard I've never been taken advantage of nor do I set myself up for it. Essentially, we are thinking along similar lines, however, you are getting caught up in words that you don't quite understand because you have never experienced them. Believe me, when you are in love with someone (real love) you will be honoured and privileged to be with them. Being honoured to be with another person happens naturally when you hold someone in high esteem. If you do not hold them in high esteem then you have no business dating them in the first place. Ideally both parties will hold the other in high esteem and therefore will feel privliged to be with the other. It is unfortunate that you don't have the capacity to understand what I'm saying here. With some more experience and maturity you will. Until then there is no point in continuing this because you cannot possibly understand.
i have had very successful relationships following the criteria that i have stated. In fact many times my friends are jealous because of how well they work out. Meanwhile i kind of feel sorry for them because they have the same subserviant attitude as demonstrated here. I call it Ray Romano syndrome. I find most of the time i find the women have been conditioned to walk all over men and men have been conditioned to let it happen. They dont even realize how whipped they are and get mad when you point it out and say things like "well if u had a real relationship you would know"...
I have had real relationships and i know that while it takes much longer to meet quality women the wait is usually worth it.
Having said that, no relationship is 100% successful until you actually grow old with and die with that person.
Question: Who the hell is supposed to PAY when it is 2 guys who are GAY????
Now there is a question - I would like answered!!! LOL!!!

the answer should be that you take turns like anyone else would....

Originally posted by Moral Hazard Just to offer my 2 cents.... I'd say the party that requests the company of the other should be the one to cover the associated expenses.

yes it was obvious because tone of voice really shines through on a message board right?
Saying i dont care about something or saying that i dont like dating men is OK and i make no apologies. What would be wrong would be to say something like "men shouldnt be dating men anyways so who cares?"
Tolerence doesnt mean you have to shut your mouth about your own likes and dislikes.

Originally posted by Jayx1 people can read into anything they want to... I dont like dating men... i dismiss the idea of myself dating men, i disapprove of myself dating men, im offended by the idea of myself dating men and thats the way it is. To look beyond those ideas in my statement is reaching at best. That doesnt mean i dont think others should be able to or that i look down on it. Sheesh!!

Originally posted by Moral Hazard Agreed, however saying that "hopefully you will never be in that situation" (sorry if I misquoted you but it was something to that affect) marginalizes anyone who is in that situation. Certainly, you can understand how this could be perceived as a slam/insult. I don't think there was anything wrong with saying how you feel, however, your sentaments could have been worded better. Perhaps a better response would have been "I do not know as I have never been in that situation and have never given it thought as it is quite likely I will never encounter that instance."

People can interpret it any way they wish but i know how i feel inside and people who have read my posts should also understand where i come from. Im not going to get caught up in the semantics game that people seem to like to play so much. |
