i'm sure marylin puts on a great show and i would definitely be entertained, but i'm capable of seeing him and not being tempted to go home and slit my wrists or burn the bible and become a satanist...all the kids that watch him however, use him as an escape and they think, "oh look how cool it is to be dark and evil and a loser...marylin was a loser and he's famous now"

no fucking way would i let my kid listen to that shit. at least not if my kid had black spikey purple hair and eye liner on w/ a dog collar.

oh my god i'm not having kids.

oh my Trent Reznor !! another freak show. + Fetish live acts that will forever be engraved in my memory. I would love to see Tricky also and oh! Primus and Cake.. bands of FUNK.

oh shit how could i forget tricky hehehe...

i saw tricky back in the maxiniquae days...he isn't much of a performer though hehehe...he basically stands on the dark on stage in a spotlight and sings his tunes...and he does this little dance thing with his microphone every once in a while hahaha...

oh yea i went to the Rib Fest in tampa which is basically a gathering of hippy rednecks and a bunch of really good BBQ (i went for the food) and on the side tents, they had up and coming rock bands and i THINK i saw incubus before they became huge..it was a long ass time ago, but i just remember seeing that band and i was like, "wow they have such a cool style" and then like a year later or so i heard them and i instantly thought of that band from the rib fest but i couldn't remember if that was their name...it probably was.

anyway on main stage was like REO speed wagon and Alabama...lol

god all the dumb rednecks were so funny...

Sarah McLachlan @ The Usher Hall, Edinburgh 18th October 2004.

Quite good I must say, she has an excellent voice and there is a lot of emotion in her songs. Would like to see her again

Saw The Shins with Rogue Wave and The Glands in June '04. Fucking fantastic show.

I saw LIL FLIPzors!!!!!!!! He and his 15 man posse came to my college so I said what the hell since it was a one minute walk. I couldn't tell which one he was. Yeah. It sucked ass.

That's really about it...

and yeah...tool+meshuggah was SICK
i was tired as hell and offered a half price ticket with a friend the day of cause his gf couldn't go
i remember being in a state of like overexhausted delerium when they played triad
and triad's already a long song, but the lead guy from meshugah came out and had i think 4 toms set up center stage
and he solo'd on those 4 toms for seriously 7 or 8 minutes
it was fucking mindblowing

Id love to see Meshuggah live. Those guys are fucken awesome. *jealous*

Apparently their new album 'Catch 33' is unplayble live because the riffs are insane. It comes out end of this month, & i cant freaken wait. A few people who have heard the album say it is their best stuff yet.

Oh yeah. Almost forgot.

I've been to a shit-ton of DCI shows. I guess for those of you who don't know it's something like marching band on steroids. Db levels can get up to 120-130. No woodwind instruments and some really talented people. They tour the US during the summer playing shows. All of the kids in the division 1 corps are usually between 16 - 21 yrs old.

Click the link and watch the video.

i've always been fascinated by the minds of psychos and weirdos...i don't read many novels, but the few books i have read were all true crime books about serial killers...

the best one was about that mexican satanic cult guy...the zodiac killer...oh my god. he kidnapped young, smart college boys and tortured them by cutting their hearts out n shit like that...and all these fucked up bitches followed him and he had like 10 wives..

john wayne gacy was another freak.

but u know what? when u read about their childhoods...it's like they were victims once too. when gacy was a little boy (i think it was either him or this other serial killer) his mom was a hooker and would bring men back to the house and the guys would fuck her and she would make him watch and all kinds of weird shit. he was like 6 years old! it's f'd up...

when i was younger in middle school and high school i was set on being a profiler for the F.B.I. or a shrink at prisons...

then i realized that it would probably be kinda scary and depressing....then i became a money grubbing bitch and decided to go with advertising so i can be one of those castrating executives who uses my sexual powers to get all the cute young guys to sleep with me so they can get promoted or get a raise.

jk i just wanna create tv commercials

LMAO !!!

omg Gacy was that killer clown wasn't he?

Ed Gein was another fruit. Have you seen those movies devoted to the lives of serial killers. I know there are Ed Gein and Ted Bundy films.

Your right! Criminology does seem very interesting, but exactly, for me, it would totally distort my perception of life. I mean, well I guess you can't base it off of books and movies, but those people who are in that occupation, their job seems to take control of their lives. There is no leave your work at work and go out to enjoy a cocktail, etc. Bless those that have the mentality to do it though.

Posted by idoru on May-17-2005 00:54:

I've been to a bunch, mostly because I thought it'd be cool to tag along with my dad to see people he liked.

- Tom Petty (when I was like, four)
- Bruce Springsteen (five or six times)
- Roy Orbison
- Simon & Garfunkel (or maybe it was just Simon)
- John Fogerty
- Fuck, I can't remember his name and now it's going to kill me
- Moby (listed here only because his recent tour was rock-oriented)

My dad actually came to Moby with me, because he figured he'd go with me after I'd gone with him.
