Usually I'm ellated when the event ends. Don't get me wrong, I wish it didn't end, however, I'm happy I was there and happy that I had a good time. Usually, I'm extremely relaxed afterward as well. I think the problem may be that you're coming down by the end of the night and you're experiencing the comedown at the same time as the natural disappointment that the evening has ended. The simple solution to this is to take more pills.... stagger them so that when the night ends you're still rolling. I'll take four to five most nights.... btw, I don't suffer from the comedown depression most people complain of.

Yeah I'm usually depressed the next day after a rave. And I've never drank or done drugs, its just that I want to go back.

Usually takes me a few days to get over it. Fucking weird as hell.

i'll see your and raise you (it fell out from when i fell due to too many drugs)

After a while ecstasy just becomes a bore. I did used to take it alot like every friday for a year, this was when i was young too, maybe 15 or 16. I'm 19 now and i ain't touched em for a year, and i've never felt better or thought clearer. I can say that the first times I took ecstasy were the best times i can remember. But the fun has to end sometime. It just loses its magic after a while and becomes just another pill.

I can understand why you think taking ecstasy at trance events is good but to say you can't enjoy it without it, is just silly. From what i hear you havn't even tried to go without it at an event.

btw...the thing you experience the day after has a scientific term, its called being...

STALE !!!

I cannot make any commitments yet, but I'm planning on working it out.

look, just get the misses drunk and write up a contract (after getting her to agree to let you go) and have her sign it, and that's that.

I doubt she will be a problem. Work on the otherhand may be, however, it's a ways away yet. I'll figure it all out.

well then get your boss drunk and do that.

suicide tuesday... that's what we used to call it. if we took pills on a saturday we would be braindead the next day (not literally) but tuesday was the day you felt like you were going to die.

people made good points in this thread. everyone's sensitivity to chemicals is different. i have a lot of emotional ups and downs and i learned the hard way that e fucks me up bad. i didnt take it more than once or twice a month, and only for a few months, but it took me a good two years of not taking it to feel right again.

you can feel the same kind of high at a party without drugs, but it's rare. i havent taken pills at a party in two or three years and i have a great time.

the 5-htp suggestion is a good one, but from the way you described your party habits, you need to lay off the e altogether for a while.

Yep call it that here too, and thats the reason I dont do E anymore. I can deal with the comedown, thats fine, but when it comes to suicide tuesday, thats about the shittiest feeling you could get, and in my book its not even worth the whole 6 hours of euphoria

yeah... and when suicide tuesday starts bleeding into sunday through thursday, and the ephoria starts lasting only 2 hours, then it's definitely time to stop...

Stop my ass.... if you take two weeks off your seritonin levels will return to normal. Following that it's just like it was when you first started. Take two weeks off every 2 months and your rolls will remain unchanged.

i used to take 3 weeks in between and that wasnt the case for me. everyone responds differently. i knew a guy who dropped pills every weekend for like 3 years and he was fine.

You would think that but its not the way it works in practice. Your serotonin levels would indeed regenerate, but the experience, even with a 2 week break inbetween each time, is not as good as the first times you were on it. Regardless of serotonin levels i think that the brain just gets used to the feeling and as time goes on the body and mind adapt and become more immune to the effects, especially hallucinogenic and some more random effects that only users would know, which fade over time.

Don't get me wrong if you have a month break then take ecstasy it will be better than if you took it only after a 2 week break, but still there is a magic about ecstasy in your early days when you take it that will only last a certain amount of uses.

I'm a firm believer that the "magic" of the first days is more due to the effect of passage of time on memory then anything else. The high is still as good for me now as ever and I'm a feind!

Posted by AUTigerFan on Jun-02-2005 17:21:

I agree it's not even worth it anymore! Well let's not get crazy but I am very selective because I get depressed for 3 to 5 days and have crazy mood swings. Tried Pre and Post loading, helped a little but not worth the hassle.

Posted by Slylee on Jun-02-2005 17:24:

Everyone is different. Im with butterfly all the way. Thats why I only do coke if Im gonna get ripped. Every now and then Ill try to roll and its hit or miss. I took one this past weekend after doing yay and it had the reverse effect on memade me all retarded and sleepy/sluggish. Im really sensitive and feeling shitty this week too and I know its cuz of the roll. Im gonna go to GNC today after work though and see what this 5HTP fuss is all about. Coke comedowns always suck, but I hate rolling, its just not what it used to be for me. at least if you get shitty coke, u still know how you're gonna feel...it's just a matter of being stuffy at the end of the night and frequency of need for bumps.
