No dramas about promotion threads. I think they have slowed down heaps anyway, and the only one who should get fucked with them is that bassy queen or some shit. DJB also offers nothing to site and also go get fucked. Apart from that there are no dramas with promotion threads. Sure most of the members that promote, more often than not have diarrohea coming out of their mouths, but they do actually contribute to the site.


As for Tathi, just fucken drop it dude... both of ya's its sad and embarassing.

i think as some of the djs profiles grow a little bit it gets a bit harder for a lot of em to post as much funny/music stuff as it may offend/show a weakness in musical knowledge.

as for the promoting, ahh well, its gunna happen - funny thing is, there are prolly 60 auta's (oz wide) that look regularaly enough to know whats going on - and then they knew about the event anyway, and they had decided whether they were going or not anyway (probably before the thread was even put up). promoting here is really overated.

it is good for radio shows and mixes i guess, but nothing thats gunna put you up with ASOT.

i think you made a couple of wrong assumptions escee and a couple of good ones. it doesn't worry me when someone posts a promotional thread for an event, this place is for local scene discussion anyway! if you only make threads about events and dont really do anything else then its kinda annoying but in the end nobody forces me to look at a thread about the latest bass station event. when something like that happens the person usually gets told what the deal is, if they continue then they're a fuckhead and whatever.

theres nothing wrong with trying to make a living out of a hobby, if you can do it right and everything goes well then good luck to ya!

I think escee sounds pissed off, and i would be too. I mean, all these DJ's from a LOCAL TRANCE SCENE, puttin up their own promotion threads, on (funnily enough) a LOCAL TRANCE FORUM. how dare they?!

I am dumbfounded that, all those who complain about promo threads, fail to realise two things.
First one is simple -> promotion threads for a trance related dj/party are in fact; wow, would you look at that, trance related discussion. (i.e. the whole reason we are all here to start with)

It's that simple guys, dont want part of it, then dont have part of it, but dont go and make a moronic fuss over it.

Personally i love having promo threads posted on TA, it's where i get as much info as i can about most gigs, especially local stuff, and, I have NEVER ONCE looked at the self promotion thread! Why would I, when parties and download-my-mixes are available in there own threads.

Not having to look at promo threads is not fuckn hard (if your still struggling, re-read above post, until u get it), if u have other issues like spam emails, take it up with who sent u them. Opt out, tell them thanks but no thanks, no need to go acting like a fuck head.
