i almost did not go wed. night because of it, VERY glad i did, have not gone out and had a blast like that in a loooooooooong time. Ferry is pretty old school so I had to go, especially in tampa, you never hear of shit like that. Well, TA rocks, glad i found it, lets get tampa on the map.

damn
i'll pay for ferry to come back next week! That was a sick set, the only set that comes close was when steve lawler was at icon in orlando a few years back. Icon put a sick system in there, it was banging. Tampa needs a little lawler... man would that be sick.

Space has a system that rocks you, thats why i can not hear a few days after i go there. the bass at amp just seems to drag out. All i'm saying. And I had the ringing ears after the amp on wed. Just tweak the system for the style of dj that is coming in.
Anyone has the set yet?
best performance by Ferry I have seen
Ferry brought a great vibe and alot of energy to the Amp on Wed.
So great to hear that kind of pumpin music in Tampa. I love his mix of Synaesthesia, and the real treat at the end was his encore performance of "Barber's Adagio For Strings". Love to hear that song in a club. The crowd was really into it and that makes all the difference in the world.
Can't wait to do it again!!!

set recorded?
Does anyone know if this set was recorded and if so, where we could get it. For those who need a good fix of a live ferry set, go here

It's his live set from avalon nyc last year. Pretty solid, the recording is a little weird though.
links are down..
Review time!!
My reviews on Ferry are usually long and a pain to read.
This is no different, except for the fact that I wrote my review in a MySpace blog. It's on both nights too, so it's just a two-n-one review type thing.
Anyway here is a direct link to my review.

nice review Ben
i get no love in all that blog? you say hi to suzy and santana..... he mentions the after party, but PTP gets nothing! lmao im just messing with ya.
heh my bad Paul
Sorry for the extremely late review. Busy week at work plus busy weekend partying.
I've lived in Tampa for about 3 years now and Wed night was by the far the BEST TRANCE NITE EVER in Tampa!!!! Everyone who opened for Ferry played great melodic trance. I knew Mondo was going to drop his usual trance tracks but was surprised yet pleased to hear him play new stuff. Keep spinning Trance Mondo!! Of course Suzy and Santana rocked out even though you two didn't get to play very long. I was looking around and remember saying to Alison that the place wasn't very crowded at all. Kinda shocked to see Amp so empty for such a talented line up of DJs. Then when Ferry came on at around midnight I believe, the crowd started filing in and you could feel the energy rise immediately from his set. Every track he dropped was bad ass!! He played some of his productions and also some new tracks, which I love nothing more to hear!! And when he played his remix of Adagio For Strings for an encore, the crowd went nuts! I think that's the first time I've ever heard that mix live and it gave me goose bumps!! Simply amazing was his set at Amp which I personally think was better than the one at Space on 6/17/05. I couldn't stop smiling or dancing the entire night and I was totally sober. Imagine that!! Ferry's music was my high!! I'm glad the club wasn't too packed like when Tiesto was here and you couldn't even walk or dance. I hate that because I get annoyed when people bump into me when I'm dancing and end up spilling my drink. So this night was perfect!! I was able to dance and move freely to my fav DJ set.
Wish I would've known about the after party. Looks like I missed yet another great one.
And I don't care what anyone says about the sound system at Amp, it's pretty loud. Granted it's not as loud as Space but I won't need to wear a hearing aid the day after. Only wished they had released the cryogenics a few more times. I will upload pics later.
I give the Amp mad props for going past 3am, bending the rules for the music and the people, thats a plus in my book
