Not going to comment too much on the music... it was Tiesto - never seen him before, so I figured I should at least once check out what all the hype is about. Pretty much exactly what I expected music-wise. As for the rest...

The sound was fucking awful. Unless you were right in front of one of the main speaker stacks on the main floor, it wasn't nearly loud enough. And as others have mentioned, there was no midrange. I should not be able to talk to my wife without shouting, or hear random ambient noise from the crowd around me with a system like that in place. Why the fuck didn't they turn it up? The place is fucking huge - it would be an amazing venue if it was just louder at the back. Everything else about the place is great.

The crowd was brutal. I've never been pushed, bumped and shoved so much. The number of guys who just grab their girlfriend's wrist and shove past everyone, spilling people's drinks left right and center was ridiculous. Don't even get me started on the middle-aged coked-up asian women! Even when standing closer to the back, where there was room for a 5-foot radius around me, people still managed to bump into me every few seconds. One guy actually said sorry and I wanted to hug him because he was the only one all night! I saw Oakenfold at Space in Miami last year and it was just as crowded, but nobody was as rude or just plain stupid as last night.

The amount of idol worship witnessed last night was bloody disturbing. I was reminded of old footage of the beatles, except instead of screaming teenage girls, it was groups of 20-something year-old guys wearing all the latest designer fashions chanting "TI-ES-TO" randomly throughout the night. Come on people, he's a guy playing records. He's not a god. This is partly why electronic music has lost its way. Worship the music, not the man.

i was managing to pick up some slow wireless network in the area before hooking up onto the modem. ^5.

It was packed, the vibe/crowd was shit. Tiesto's set was good, but the sound in there sucked. No mids & highs, mainly just bass, and overall, it was too quiet inside and outside the club.

to all those that keep saying the sound was bad, could it be that they had to be within a certain decibel range to stay within the legal limits for those damn islanders?

Posted by magikb on Jul-01-2005 15:57:

I am gonna post more of a review later.. but all I have to say is...

I DIIIIEEEEEED!!!!!!

All I ever wanted to hear was flight 643 spun by the man himself (since I thought he retired the song) I never thought I would hear it.. Until tonight.. OMG.. I was in heaven.. and I think that was about the time I went mental, dancing like a freak and telling people that I wasn't moving out of their way so they could get by.. I was too busy dancing

I can die a happy woman now

how has anyone not mentioned this one?!??!?! Tiesto knew the crowd was full of ginos!!!

Benny Benasi - Love is gonna save us........ oh good god

worst gino filled asshole crowd ive ever been in, ive never once in my life felt clostrofobic in a club until yesterday and ive experienced a rammed club space in ibiza and ferry corsten at the guv a while ago...... i cant believe how ignorant and rude these guys are. next time i go to see tiesto hopefully it wont be in z1035 territory..... if anything i wont go inside until 3am.....
so many of them finally left after tiesto played traffic so that was much better. Great to meet a million new tas last night!!!
top 10 party for sure

FOR A PLACE THAT ADVERTISES IT HAS THE LOUDEST SYSTEM IN T.O ,

IT SUCKED BALLS !!!! yesit was loud when there were 200 ppl there .. but once u pack a place like that u better make sure the sound don't drown

the engineers forgot about that key part !!

tiesto has to be played @ 130 decibels minimum !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
