Saw him at Escape into the Park last month and thought he was mint, he played a few of his old tunes at the end (For An Angel, NBY, Crush) but I think that made it better tbh.

Well its unlike Corsten...lol

Ferry is entertaining to watch. He likes to work the crowd.

Personally, I believe Van Dyk is up there in his own world. I saw him live in Denver in the 2004 Global Dance Festival. I loved watching him move his hand around with the beat...it was truely amazing. He was just in his own zone.

true that, I mean have you ever heard someone introduce PVD as "here is the #2 DJ in the world"????

Actually, I have heard that once. But the guy saved himself by following it up with, "But he's #1 in our hearts...."

Sorry for the tangent.

I heard that PVD will be playing at Central Park this coming weekend.

Date??? I'm not sure.

he really is number #1 for a lot of us,,,TIESTO himself said in 2003 "I thought this year PVD was going to win it" on his website

actually Tiesto said "I was under the impression Paul van Dijk was going to win it this year, which would have been fine with me as well." he was probably just being modest but who knows what the Djs really think

vandit

an American dj superstar? I don't know... I think the europeans
domintaed that scene.
Plus look at PVD and Tiesto.. they're like married and even
tiesto is nothing but a nice guy. I imagine an american dj
into like drugs ho's pimpin' ho's and naked crazy raver
wearing clowns suits chicks folliwing around.

Sorry that's just the image I get even from watching that
stupd video when tiesto was in miami (another day at the office)
and that stupid guy in miami asked him if he's getting layed
a lot and shit like that.... get my drift? I mean dudes like that
can't handle being famous ...

His last show here at Chicago was truly a disappointment. He needs to produce better tracks now days. And hopefully The Politics of Dancing 2 comes out to be better compilation.

What are you going on about?

Posted by edski on Jul-08-2005 18:41:

I mean look at their lifestyles they are pretty much normal people.

Look at the other music stars. they are fucked out of their
heads... most of them anyways....

How does a dj get noticed?
i would say Introducing a new and different sound, a good production always helps boost your profile eg eric prydz. Personality and character behind the decks. But i think the most important factor is how u market yourself, very important, if u look at all the top artists there very well marketed take tiesto for exaple with a catchy name and sharp image... hes not really that great a dj. But he had so much exposure to the market he went to parts of the world, people hadnt djed before, he was brilliantly marketed by his company, most of these people who voted for him were prob from unknown countries, and tiesto was the only one they had seen, so they had no one to compare him to!

dj mikey which djs u into??
