I believe this was your definition of a party. You specificly said "...thats not at an establishment" and since bars and clubs are considered establishments, I would say you're contradicting yourself.

OWNED.

Now fuck off.

What a cheap way to cop out. Loved the cliche, though.

I think a lot of people are missing the point. Why do you think Sasha, Cox & Zab's went to ableton?

Seriously, reason it out. Your one of the top DJ's in the world, what is REALLY seperarting you from some kid in his bedroom with the same records you have. Sasha put it best when he said the internet has forced me to embrace technology in my sets. I can play a track no one has ever heard before but if its out on internet now thousands have it.

Think about it, hes editing tracks live that even if the original was released on vinyl, CD, 8 track, pineapples, whatever. No one is going to have a copy of what he did live.

Because of how fast everything moves in our scene he is forced to seperate himself, it's only natural.

What the hell is wrong with today's live shows/ raves ? one word ....computers....Just because a Dj or Producer has become famous in the scene of trance the liveshows they do consist of nothing but laptops and cd mixers etc. I dont respect this anymore there trying too hard to make everything mix perfectly and getting rid of the skill involved...my respect and props tonight goes out to the local Dj's that spin vinyls live at their hometown scenes ......

you obviously haven't dj'd with cds or a laptop

I'm sorry, but there are some things that you can do with a TT that simply cannot be done with a CDJ and vice versa.

Posted by KristineClub on Jul-07-2005 20:24:

Well, like the ripping sound you get when you drag the needle across a record.

Well, actually I've heard it used quite effectively. The DJ did that and, without missing a beat, he went straight into "What happened? Is everything cool? Alright" (for those of you who don't know, the track was 'Harry Cho Cho Romero feat. Jessica Eve - What Happened (Rhythm Code Mix)'. The crowd went nuts. Anyway, scratching just isn't the same with cds either, I don't care what anyone says.

pineapples...

quite funny.

Dumb analogy - in relation to this thread.

Actually it's a pretty good analogy in the context of this thread.
