Stephen A Smith just said that, he is the angriest , anti-christ and I belive a puppet from ESPN son until I hear a real anaylst say this then Ill belive it. Although its not hard to believe or guess that this is what the Knicks would do....

lol

Dude is mad angry all the time and a screamer. I hate guys that just raise their voice to try to better prove their argument. I guess it's because he's a lawyer by trade.

I think Larry Brown will be coaching the Knicks next season definitely.

since we're talking about Stephen A. Smith

anyone remember this from the 2004 NBA draft?:

from Bill Simmons:
quote:
2004: Vitale uses the phrase "flat-out" three times in less than a minute, followed by a life-altering split-screen argument between Vitale and Stephen A. Smith. If you missed it, you can see a continuous replay of the moment on ESPN's new channel, ESPN 666.

hahaha ... he does tend to use the words "flat-out", "baby", and "doopsy" a lot ..

anyways .. the nets got a team if they get shareef .. rj, shareef, vc, and kidd .. a definate force to reckon with next year against boston, if they retain pierce, payton, and walker. ..

the atlantic division could turn from the "joke" division to the "challenging" division in 1 year ???

don't forget kristic...that rounds out a really really solid starting five

I may be gettintg a Nets mini game plan just cuz it'll be fun to watch

not to mention cheap

going away from the larry brown situation for a little bit ...

donyell marshall inks a deal with the cleveland cavs, making this the 100th team marshall has been with in his nba career .. .. kidding .. but would this do any good for the cavs to get over the hump to pass indiana and detroit ??? ................................... no.

Posted by InterMilan31 on Jul-20-2005 19:08:

I was watching 2 Live Stews last night on ESPN 2-which is close to the worst of ESPN behind Stephen A and Stu Scott-but a caller brought up a good point. Stromile Swift would be great instead of Shareef.

Shareef cant run the fast break as well as Stro and thats what the Nets will do this year run the floor

Also Shareef cant get up like Stro can at the Basket. Stro's game would flourish at the Nets with Kidd but lets see what Shareef can do.

Korver and Green stay at the 76ers toooo who cares though

I think that the bucks are really moving in the right direction this offseason. I think they paid $15 million too much for Redd, but they had to pay it to keep him. I hope he doesn't turn out to be the next Timmy Thomas or Big Dog Robinson...

I think with Bogut, Redd, Simmons, and Mason, and with TJ Ford starting his rehab, the Bucks really only need to sign another big man to either replace Joe Smith or at least split time with him. ESPN.com's trade block says that they're showing interest in Radmonavic, which wouldn't be a bad pick-up if they don't overpay for his height.

The team is extremely young, and I can seem them grabbing a bottom seed in the playoffs this year. But as they mature, and assuming that Bogut plays up to his potential, I think the Bucks could be a force to be reckoned with in the East similar to the "peak-Karl" era.

I'm a little worried about Stotts being appointed as coach. He's very familar with the organization and all, but I just can't see the younger players learning everything that they should be from such a relatively newer NBA HEAD coach.

.. that is an awesome young team there .. got three guys potentially to give you 20 points a night (simmons, redd, and mason), and ford dishing out assists, this could possibly be better than the robinson-cassell-allen days .. we will see ..

back to the detroit-larry brown issue .. detroit will announce on thursday that they will ink flip saunders for the vacant head coaching position .. wow! that was quick .. i wonder why isaiah didn't lure flip to nyc ??

30 million the wizards payed to get Antonio Daniels? I like him, but he's not that good lol

Well you cant say that Sanders suck, but i think he wont built a francise like the NYK.Even if Larry Brown comes and coaches the Knicks, they might make the playoffs but i dont think they will win a NBA championship. Larry won with the Pistons because the Pistons were in the eastern conference finals the previous year. So even if the Knicks get Larry, it will be a long way for them. I like Larry, i think his a good coach, but why the fuck are you moving to much man? Just stay in one place like in Detroit and get all the Rings there, Just like Pop is doin or Phil did. But even if the Pistons get Flip i think they make the eastern conference next year.

I dont know if you all remember, while i was watching a game on TNT, Flip Sanders was a guest and they said that he had found a job back then but it was gonna be a suprise till the Finals were over, now it seems that he has agreed with the Pistons, so Sanders and the Pistons have been talking.

hahhaa ... that's correct.. i remember that .. that's weird .. and didnt he make that comment before larry brown was questioning his return to the pistons .. ?? ..

anyways .. nets have agreed to sign shareef and robinson.

Yeah and the Blazers get a lottery protected 2006 first round pick. So I guess John Nash won the stare down. That's now 3 first rounders next year, two in the 20's probably and their own (which will be in the top 10 surely).

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jul-22-2005 03:21:

two names that popped out when reading the rumor mill in hoopshype.com ..

chris duhon and juan dixon .

i like chris duhon .. i've liked him ever since he was in high school, and he schooled me to the basket many times, since he is a local boy here .. .. i don't want to get into furthur stories about how he made me his b!tch on many occasions ..

but with juan dixon .. i like this guy .. he is a pure shooter, and could be star potential .. i like his development, and if washington lets him go, that would be a mistake, since he would be the perfect fit to fill the void of larry hughes.

Nahh...all NY have are n00bs,LB is not stupid nad he won't coach in the current team IMO cuz even he knows that the Knicks need more then a good old fashioned coached.
but if he wants to achieve his dream then good for him - not too often a man can achieve his dream.

i do not agree with brown taking this job .. i am sorry, but the knicks are a circus right now .. they have a carousel of guards that are obviously fighting for 4 positions, and a group of big men that play small ( exclude warrick, because i think he can flourish in the pros .. he's got potential) .. i really like mike sweeney .. how come the knicks don't want to play him more ? .. maybe because they had to fulfill what they were paying kurt thomas, who obviously is a bust .. he also goes with christian laettner as awesome college players, dud pro players .
