-- Are you indirectly killing the music scene?
Pages (3): « 1 2 [3]
Sorry, mis-sourced my quotes.
I asked Airwave in a recient Interview what was the worst thing in the Industry, he said Tracklistings and how they breed spawns of specific people and lack of individuality (hence why im proud that i play about 30% indie Tracks in my sets).

the only people killing the dance scene r the djs there overpaid
there the moaning ****s not us clubbers have the right to expect a decent set we r the ones paying there wages.
i think TA amongst is having a limited impact with people being too anal about OMG that tracklist is so old, i really hate djs that play new tunes just because they are new. But i also think there is a bit of one-man up man ship between djs to play the newest songs.
there now seems to be such a gap between the big four djs, (particularly Tiesto and PvD who would fill any club in the world), less so for Armin and Ferry but they would pull in a big crowd pretty much anywhere.
But there is not alot of trance djs that come close to that, i really can not see another newer name becoming as big and that is what will eventually suffocate trance.

| Originally posted by Inertia well, Airwave has always had something stuck up his ass when it comes to tracklists. he seems to be a bit of a hothead. i remember him cussing me out on the ASOT chatroom once (back when the show was still decent) because i asked for a tracklist of Armin's last hour. dunno, that man just needs to chill. i can't believe of all the negative things there are, he feels tracklistings is the worst. he must be one of those guys who plays a record and wants no one to know what it is. |
??, he's posting his tracklistings on TA!
If I could directly kill the music scene i'd stab it in the eye with a steak knife, that way people would spend their time arguing about more important things. Or switch to arguing about things that are just as important, like whether or no goat shit smells the same as human shit.

okay, to be honest a lot of people take things too seriously on here.
Just thought i'd start of by stating that ...
Anyways, as i said before Producers are forced into making cheesy tunes, and Djs are forced into playing them. How you ask ?
Well most of the top EDM in aus right now i'd have to say is mos deffinetly cheese, the likes of Nik Fish and Bexta amongst Australia's top 5 djs is a testament to that, anyways the point is if you don't play what the majority of the crowd likes then your gonna go broke and if you don't create what the 'public' is going to like you're not gonna be rolling in the millions, its just what happens ...
