Back in the day I used to mud. A mud is a text-based RPG game. Kinda like Zelda but all text commands. Very addictive...arhggg!! I ripped the name Tordan off another player. It sure sounded a lot better than B-man which I was using. From what I gather Tordan is actually the name of either a character or place in a sci-fi novel.

I'm *~LiSa-LoO~* b/c one of my old best friends used to call me Lisa Loo all the time. And the stars and squigglies I just think are cute and precious...just like me Hehe
So...? Spill it!

^^ Yes to it all.

My name comes from back in the day when I would use ICQ or IRC... needed a nick to represent myself online.... at the time I was very much into ST and DS9 was my favourite of the series! Then I first saw the Jem-Hadar in an episode, I just thought they were the fucking shit! There was something about them.... And also at this time I was also very particular about having a "J" name... not sure why but having a name that started with a J was key!

So i started using Jem_hadar... and it stuck! Even though Im not a massive ST fan anymore, its like this name has come to represent my online identity! Changing it would seem incredibly strange and almost as if I was posing as someonelse.

Plus, the short form of Jem_hadar, "Jem", has really grown on me and I quite like the nick. I have several friends who actually call me Jem in real life. (I just *LOVE* nicknames....)

Thus, Jem_hadar and Jem were born and kept!

LOL whenever I want to pronounce your TA name the way it is written to tell someone else who you are at an event, walkindude always tries to correct me and pronounces it, "JAM HARDER" because he would like to believe that you chose your name to try and cleverly imitate the pronunciation of "JAM HARDER". Haha, walkindude, stfu.

Fir3start3r was born as an online persona shortly after Quake I while playing online.
Tried to register, "Firestarter", without the 3 = e but some shmuck already registered it here
(I think they landed up getting baninated from TA but I just never bothered to follow up in changing the name)

I picked the name up shortly after Prodigy's, "The Fat of the Land" CD came out (as you've probably already guessed).
I like it for a couple reasons;
a) I'm normally pretty laid back (lethargic?) so the name reminds me to move ma ass!
b) There's a preception while playing online games not to mess with me
c) It's easy to remember (which sometimes I need nevermind my net buddies...)

my real nickname is, "Inky" though; last name is Inkster so not a far stretch...1/2 my friends in college were "Jeff".

Goodtimes to be had here.

And Fay, ya, sometimes when I see my name now or when I think you you, ill think of the way you would think it was pronounced: JAM HARDER..... LOL that amuses me......

Cool name too!

Let's hear YOUR nick explanation... and it'd better be more than "I was too lazy to come up with one, so I just used my name"

A few years ago my cousin starting calling me "connoisseur" because of my adoration for wine. I changed the spelling of it to "cono_sur". I found out later that there is actually a winery in Chile with the same name.

two parts

spyder - my mom used to call me spider bc i had long arms and legs...

back in gr 8 i grew an infatuation for becoming a spy... and in gr 10 when i first got an email account i used [email protected] my bf at the time looked at it and switched the i to a y bc he knew i liked and wanted to become a spy.. so spyder got stuck on me..

TA- when i first opened up TA i went right away to the chat room. good old irc java #tranceaddict

and i couldnt take spyder bc it was registered so out of the blue came out Julie_Spyder. took about half a year before someone realised julie wasnt my real name... eventually i just dropped the julie and used spyder ...

i like the fact that i can confuse ppl on here wondering if i'm a guy or a girl
