There should also be a deadline for the judges to submit results.

Thanks for this reminder Jay M.

As for the last, don't worry, I'm taking care of the judges.

I may have a run at it myself... when I get home, that is. I'm stuck up-Island (as my parents are headed for Penticton, BC) until Saturday

Posted by isoterra on Jul-26-2005 05:05:

another possible mistake on my part... i think this may actually be the 7th edition

did a few searches and found the 4th was sound of goodbye, then i think the next was plummet (5th), then coast 2 coast (6th), then this... can anyone confirm or correct?

just for some reason remembered c2c being the 7th, may be wrong

I'm almost finished with mine already. This is what happends when you're stuck in your computer chair from sporting injuries

Ended up not using that midi. It confused me more than anything. Some notes are just wrong (especially the main lead!). Better off just re-writing everything by ear.

Max Entries

I think it's very tricky to set up a maximum number of entries, because, just like in the previous competition, not everyone on the list will deliver a remix. I think there were more than 25 on the list but only 15 submitted. You can probably raise that number, taking into account that you will get not that number of remixes. And of course, the bigger the competition the better!

I'll consider it JayM

Well well nice prizes.. I think you can do a prize for 2nd place too then!

Posted by PDM on Jul-26-2005 09:21:

I'm trying too, but can not guarantee anything, I have talk to quite other companies looking for sponsorship, we'll see what happens.

i noticed the stuff about uploading... good point, didn't think of that. it's probably best you remove the original upload/ftp info from the original post to avoid confusion

Is it just me or does the second place prize sound more appealing?

Wouldn't it be a better idea to just have a list of prizes, and then first place winner gets to pick, then second gets what's left, and henceforth in that fashion?

Count me in!

I wanna try

thnx!

DEF NO!

Then everyone wouldn't worry about becoming the first place because the second and the third would get a prize anyways, I'm perfectionist, and only the first deserves to get the prizes, I'll try to get one for the second place, but that is it, and that is not even guaranteed, so do your best is the best thing you can do.

The Online-Mastering.com deal sounds VERY interesting, they always do an outstanding job on Alphazone tracks!

What if a participant isn't able to finish his remix in time though? Will there be something as a 'reserve participant'?

Count me in for now Paulo, I'll give it a strong 'Van Gelder' twist

Bye,
Wim

good luck to everybody competing!

ahem... i do know what im talking about

Sry Icone, there is no 'reserve participant' that is why we are giving two months to do the remix, remixes that are submitted after dealine (00.00 hours of September 25th) won't count in.

Thanks for participating , all of you.

ok..? and you don't think your post about "i wanna judge" sort of eliminates any chances you might have had of becoming a judge?

i guess everyone knows now who to send their bribes to
