chavs never tend to bother me, maybe its cos im a big ****. if they are in my vicinity i just give them a heavy scowl and they never say anything to me.

The last time a chav stopped me in the street and asked me for a pound i said "do you want you **** kicked in, mate?" and he promptly fucked off with his tail between his legs

Next time something like this happens, laugh in her face. Seriously, m8. Laugh as hard as you can. You and your friend both. Make her feel like her behavior is so fucking stupid that you can't even be angry at her. Make her feel ridiculous for acting like a stupid whoe.
Punching her will only get you into a pile of shite with the authorities. I mean, who's going to believe that this small little "angel" just came up to you and started smacking away. You'll just end up being in a lot of trouble imo.

An alternative: Bring a female friend with you. If you have trouble punching the little turd, then another woman certainly won't. Believe me. I've seen that kind of crap happen here. The little fuck got so owned we never saw her in the neighbourhood again.

Evil1 *** Another story ***

Gotta tell u what happened to me last year...

8.45am Monday morning in Birmingham city centre

I was just about to get off a bus when the driver braked sharply, and I went forward a step and nudged into this girl - just a tiny bit, only just enough for her to notice. Im 21 and 6 ft 1, well built. She was about 16 and about 5 ft 4, scrawny, thin and grubby-looking.

She got off the bus just b4 me and I overtook her walking the same way along the street. About 100m up the road she runs up to me and says/screeches: "Why did u just push me!!?"

I said I didnt mean to knock into her, and I was sorry. I put my headphones back in at this point and start to walk off again. I get another 100m up the road and then she's there again, right next to me, this time with another girl - both of them gritting their teeth and looking bloodthirsty! Quite honestly intimidated, I tried to ignore them and hoped they'd just leave it, so I walked on faster than b4.

They followed me and when I got to a main road I had to stop and wait for the lights to change so I could cross the street, so naturally they were all over me again there. Before I could even turn around to say "Look, I didnt mean to... Im sorry ok, just leave it etc" I got this huge SMASH ROUND THE FACE with a small, hard leather handbag. I felt my lip bleeding instantly and then before I knew it a kick in the shin from the 2nd girl. I couldnt beleive it, right in front of all these other people waiting at the lights. I was fucking LIVID and shouted something on the spur of the moment along the lines of: "You better fucking run you stupid little bitches!" - I scared myself, Ive never shouted like that b4 or since.

I ran after one of them until she was backed into an alleyway that I knew didnt lead anywhere. I SO wanted to smack her one but I knew there was nothing I could do. I felt like a dickhead. She just laughed in my face as a stood there fuming and in the end I had to turn around and fuck off. I've seen then both SO MANY TIMES on the bus, in the street... I just wish I'd been able to do something but I couldnt have. I got assaulted in the street but if I'd retaliated it wouldve been much worse for me than it would for them Im sure.

If women want to hit men they should expect to be hit back. Nobody should be untouchable. In addition, there is just no excuse for unprovoked assault. Why can't these people be punished effectively?? An anti-social order is not enough.

People who want to fight should expect to get hurt. That's just the way it works. I dont get involved in fights anymore- I've learnt that lesson!

Fucking hell

they always seem to take things the wrong way and blow it all out of proportion, and i totally agree with what you were saying..........i would have been livid and probably would have wanted to beat the little bitches to a pulp and spit on them.......its a law for girls and a law for us and law will probably take there side

i mean, when i was in my last year at school 7 years ago now......i was in the corridoor and a girl was laughing like a silly bitch and a lad i was standing next to mocked her.......and she turned round and thought it was me, and started to bitch slap me, kick pinch and bite me i was like wtf, and i was defending myself with her flailing arms........i just wanted to headbutt her cos i was so PISSED OFF........and then a rumour went round school that i was beat up by a girl

"It's a law for girls and a law for us, and the police will probably take the girl's side" - EXACTLY

"A rumour went round school that i was beat up by a girl" - HARSH. No, you were hit by a girl but u couldnt do anything back. What dickheads...
_________________________________________________________________

I once DID hit a girl, really hard, square on the nose. Didnt know what was going on at the time as I was surrounded by people in the canteen queue at school (aged 11).

Was being pushed and shoved all over the place, people hitting + knocking each other about. Someone was pulling on my collar, over and over and over. I got real pissed off and spun round with a fist out and smacked this girl bigtime! I was so ashamed of the fact that Id hit a girl, I just cried straightaway and ran and hid in the boys loo!! Thankfully I didnt get in trouble at all as it was so obvious I was completely in a state over the whole thing

OK - this urban myth has come up several times so I'm just going to dispel it (and this comes from a girl). I don't know of any female who thinks that she has a right to hit a guy because he's not allowed to hit her back. The chances that they're targetting you because you male are slim - myself and other females have had trouble from these sorts before, and will again. I know of more guys who probably would hit a woman than those who wouldn't. Gentlemen are a rare breed these days, and only tend to show up in the presence of a lady (equally rare ever since the 2nd wave of feminism).

But if you're like me, you'll do anything not to stoop to the other person's level, which means not hitting them back.

Posted by LWA on Aug-10-2005 07:55:

Jester

well of course you shouldnt stoop to their level.

Thanks Shrek-like woman, nice pic!!

Prison really doesnt work though. In modern society it tries to serves three principal purposes: punishment and deterrent, rehabilitation and sense of reconciliation for the victims of crime. As far as the first two go, the rates of re-offending are staggering, so the Prison system is nether deterring people from committing crimes or rehabilitating them to become productive members of society. Simply increasing sentences will not add the deterrence factor - it will just create a situation where there is a greater resentment to the established law and order than there already is when the increased punishments no longer match the crime. And, how locking someone away is magically meant to change them to become normal citizens is beyond me. On top of this, as I have already said, petty vandals go into prison, hardened criminals come out. As for reconciliation, well, I suppose it does. However, prisons are costing us billions of pounds of good tax payers money, right out of our pockets. Its going straight down the drain, as were getting absolutely no return on it. On top of this, prisons are already filling up rapidly, soon there wont be much more room to put people in.

So with the prison system giving a bashing, what do I suggest? Quite a few ideas, though sadly not many that I think youd agree with. The general theme is not to punish people, its to get them to stop behaving in such a way in the first place. Locking people away is just treating the symptoms, not providing a cure.

- Education. The education system needs double the money it gets. Vocational systems massively increased. Overhaul of national curriculum, with sex education, drug education and active citizenship to be taught from the age of 5.

- Employment. Once you leave school, automatic enrolment with job centres, which will help people find work. It will be a legal requirement that all jobs be advertised via job centres. Increase of minimum wage.

- Parenting. Im not for one second saying its all the parents fault, but it does play a part. Parenting is something that you get thrown into the deep end in, with no experience what so ever. There should be compulsory parenting lessons for EVERYONE regardless of income, with a national curriculum for parents. While were at it, set up free day care schemes.

- Politics. Dodgy estates should have councils set up made from local citizens which have real power. Decisions made affecting the estate should involve dialogue with these estate councils. Age at which one can stand as an MP bought into line with voting age. More referendums.

- Housing. There needs to be more affordable housing built for those whove got next to no money. More housing schemes set up, preferably state run, and current estates need to have a high level of maintenance to immediately fix things like broken windows and graffiti.

- Boredom. Clichd I know, but boredom is major factor. Large numbers of facilities should be set up around the country, with all sorts of activities in them which will keep kids off the streets. These need to be subsidised by the state and free at the point of contact. Im not talking about a few youth clubs which are open twice a week after school, Im on about a MASSIVE scheme, with centres that are open 24 hours a day in areas with large numbers of juvos in them. If you get sports involved too you could even tackle rising levels of obesity.

- Labelling. Again clichd, but labelling everyone in a hoody as a potential vandal (even if they might well be) provokes the situation. The media needs to stop professing moral outrage and stirring things up at every opportunity with rampant sensationalism. Every news report tells us all how the youth of today is completely out of control, and things have sunk to a new low. It just provides entertainment, and extra impetus for the yobs. The truth is, there have been young groups of yobs on the streets since the Roman times.

- Adult Behaviour. Any adults displaying anti-social behaviour should be dealt with swiftly. This is especially important for public figures. White collar crime should be more harshly punished.

- Judiciary. We need younger judges who are more likely to make a connection with offenders, instead of a grey, bald 70+ old man who usually has no clue how the real world operates. Also get rid of silly wigs in the courtroom.

- Policing. The police have too many forms to fill out preventing them form having a visible presence on the street. However this bureaucratic form filling needs to be done. The answer is to equip police with hand held pda style computers so they can fill out forms quickly and easily, then just download them to the system when they get back to the station. Also scrap all the PCSOs and just use the money to pay more police officers. Police should also be instructed to ignore drug offences, bar dealing crack/heroin.

- Benefits. Anyone reaching a certain age with a clean criminal record gets a reward.

- Bootcamps. While loathed to say the Americans have had a good idea for any form of social policy, boot camp style centres for the worst offenders should be set up. The re-offence rate is shockingly low. Those who perform well can be given a job in the army, a career which has much more prospects than any one theyd find living in a council estate.

With your Dad probably in the slammer, your mum working in McDonalds, 2 million brothers and sisters, all living in a crappy house in a crapper estate with fuck all to do, its no wonder that these kids start acting up. Im not saying these ideas would work over night, far from it, but in the long run, Im sure theyd make a difference. Quite a few have also been tried before, but its usually a half hearted attempt with no real backing.
