Are you refering to his performance at Crobar (NYC) on July 2nd? OMG that was an awesome night. I was out in NYC for a wedding and was able to make it to this show. Definitely a great night imo... I definitely think Oakenfold's style has changed in a positive way. I loved every track!! He had the crowd going from start to end that night. So much fun.

Yeah Oakey's positively on the upswing. I'm really excited about his return to So Cal.

Sorry for succumbing to going off-topic here:

As for the other immature BS herein I can only say: Any TA is entitled to flame, which is a valid indication that they have nothing of value to offer for the scene. Let them just sit back and bitch, their lack of presence at the event will be refreshing.

Also, who the hell has so much time that they can complain and post nonsense all day long while they monitor the West Coast TA forum like it was some kind of Futures Market for which there is fiscal interest? Are some TA members getting paid to post on this forum? To me, it would seem so.

I just read this on another thread (Read Full Review HERE), and I'm AMPED for Oakenfold this Friday.

I have been hearing he's on the rise again, and this guy just saw him and is loving it, so hopefully we will get a set like that!!

quote:
Tiesto, Oakenfold, Scumfrog, & more: Review

Friday night: Oakenfold at Opulent Temple. Sure, everyone says he's a sellout. Sure, I haven't liked the last 2 shows of his I've seen. I was still there, & it was INCREDIBLE. Oakie went on right at 1 AM. & the crowd went INSANE. I was hanging out with some people from the Opulent Temple camp, so we were dancing in the back wings, then we went out into the crowd.

Nothing can compare to the vibe of dancing to great music, under the stars, as everyone forgets everything but enjoying the music. I got boosted up & surveyed the crowd--it went back for forever, creative costumes & smiles everywhere. My favorite song was "Prophet", which I hadn't heard Oakie play in a live set before. I got better & better at anticipating when the flames would shoot up, & could see the incredible costumes around.

Are there multiple ticket prices for this show?

When Deep Dish was at 4th/B recently, it was extra to get a wristband which gave access to the terraced seating. I just have a plain ol' ticket, but would be happy to pay extra, if need be, to be able to snag a table.

You will have the opportunity @ the door, to purchase an "upgrade" and get a VIP wristband

There will most definitely be a VIP area.

We have someone working the VIP and will have upgrade wristbands available. Just go to the section
