Unless he's referring to Justin and Britney, which have nothing to do with the electronica scene really, i would assume hes referring to cheese dance music.

Sunlight is a good example of this, I like the track too.

I think what he refers to is more stuff like Special D/ Bass T/ underground shite like the majority of modern scouse house (cheeky trax/ alex k etc....)

I dont see any contradicions...
