We plan for eleven, and we all hang out there until just before the start. That way, late stragglers/sleepers can still make it.

Just make sure to finalize a meeting place before Friday so those of us driving down know what's what.

So 11am at the dot!
We can all grab a bite to eat or split up into seperate groups after a few people show up. People can stay behind and stuff, so they know where everyone else is.

I'll be there +1 at 11 a.m. TA time, which would be oh, maybe about 12:15 p.m.? Any suggestions for food/tasty caffeinated beverages in the area, other than Del Taco? Del Taco tastes much better to me at 3-4 a.m. after drinking enough vodka to make anything taste like a gourmet 7-course meal!

Looking at the map, it seems this is about a 15 minute walk to Market & 2nd where the parade starts? Hopefully it will be easy to ID the TA group so we don't wind up at the Sustaining Pastoral Excellence Theological Seminary by mistake!

if there are enough people into this, we can meet in the park behind the metreon theater near the band stage - it's really easy to find and close to everything. Let's say between noon and 1pm on Saturday. I'd suggest earlier but friday is going to be a late night for many...

there is also a huge parking garage @ mission and 5th for those with cars.

who's in?

Just look for the giant maps in this thread, um, like the one above! Tip: highlight the section between the ======= lines above, edit-copy, edit-paste into Word, print and take it along!

daym 11am, i guess it's good to aim early since ppl will be late anyway

Question

Hummm..

What Spot is actully closer to the parade... Del Taco or that park?
Keep in mind we are going to be doing a lot of walking all ready.

FYI- I said Del Taco since that would be easy to find... we do not have to eat there.

it's a lot less than 15 minutes. it's only 2 blocks.

Posted by exergo on Sep-21-2005 20:10:

del taco is on a dirty street with nowhere to sit down. not very pleasant....since the parade goes to right past it though, how about that's a backup spot...say at 2pm for the straglers.

Posted by bas on Sep-22-2005 00:05:

dude...blasphemers!! all of you...del-taco is a god send! if it weren't for del-taco we'd all be commies

Posted by Boomer187 on Sep-22-2005 01:08:

lawl, park or del taco

park or del taco

park or del taco

park or del taco

park or del taco

park or del taco

Looks like the park is only about 1 block farther away than the Del Taco on Market St., so it's probably only a minute difference between the two. I vote for the park (especially because there are about 17 huge maps of this location plastered all over this thread so people may go there anyway unless we plaster up even more maps of Del Taco).

+1 for the park

+1 for boomer coming in the buff

Park seems to make more sense, no? It's not that far from Del Taco... but then again, I'm here in Canada living in an igloo, so the locals should know better.

Posted by idoru on Sep-22-2005 05:14:

Right... Decisions, damnit!

Posted by Photo_bot_2k1 on Sep-22-2005 05:31:

Decision: Park

Its like a 2 second walk. Everyone walked further last year. Its really no big deal. Your gonna be walking sooo much farther the whole day anyways.

Its also close to del taco, we can go there after.

Posted by in2muzikk on Sep-22-2005 05:39:

Everyone in then? I'm a Pisces...I can't make decisions...

Posted by philippe on Sep-22-2005 06:30:

I definitely agree that the park would be better for 100+ people to hang out than Del Taco. I wonder if they'd deliver to the park

Posted by Psiweaver on Sep-22-2005 07:40:

so where meeting at the metreon again this year?
