and I know what its like collapsing at Space, except I did it upstairs with no one around except Toni with no one helping, ugh anyway. Speaking of which that upstars no longer has a balcony, I did a double take when seeing that. Looks nice.

I just woke up from a well needed nap after sleeping only an hour in the hotel. PvD was awesome. Some tracks i put in my phone are

The Other Side

I was so happy to see everyone. Its nice hanging out with people you never get to see, doing something we all love. Near the end I was itchin to see Max since hearing he went on an hour earlier than scheduled, but I couldnt leave Paul. I just couldnt stop groovin. I wanted to hear The Other Side, which I knew he would close with. I LOVED watching Paul, he was so animated and I love his mannorisms. He's just so mysterious and sexy. When he saw people taking pics of him, he just looked and smiled for you, which he did for me but it didnt come out. Amber's got some great shots though. Amazing time. At one point someone who I didnt know lifted me LOL Since I was deaf I didnt hear him ask me, I was just like hey sure!!! Gave me a great view of Paul!!

I was excited to see Max since I had missed him when he was in Orlando a few months ago. He played good shit, he's also fun to watch.

for those who dont know, thats me in the unreadable (from this photo) Black with white text vandit shirt near the front. From the internal cheesing look he probably was playing his rework of dark roast at the time.



I loved the night, the vibe took it back to when I saw him at WMC space 2004. I could only ID 8 of the tracks pvd played the rest was unknown to me which is good if its like sat night (hard and banging)

About the club changes. I was ok with them that night because they opted to make the 2nd floor have pvds music instead of hip hop as planned. The sound in the main room was good and loud because it wasnt being lost into the 2nd floor anymore but I looked over in the middle and noticed on both sides 2 missing dynacord alphas
I go back upstairs and there there are all 4 for the hip hop floor. Man if they would have left those in the main it would have been that much more kick ass.

every time i walk into space and walk into the main room i always seem to walk into a track i love. we got in around midnight right when edgar was dropping Yoshimoto - Du What U Du (Trentemoller Mix). fucking awesome. edgar ripped it up with his opening set. i was so impressed (again)! then paul came on. i knew it would be good cuz his last couple of sets (global gathering, nature one, dance valley) were all sick. he had a couple of down moments in his set when i wasnt feeling a track here or there, but for the most part, pvd fucking toooooooooooore me up. i really could of done without time of our lives, but whatever, fuck it. the other side is already played out for me too, but ah well. pvd was awesome. not just behind the decks, but for the crowd too. when he first came on he was smiling for everyones cameras, and even at the end of his set, arturo grabbed karen's camera and pvd smiled right at it. thats why hes awesome. he loves his fans, and smiling for a camera isnt too much for him. i'm so glad he spun that extra half hour though, really made my night, and i didnt care one bit about him being an hour late cuz edgar was tearing it up anyway. i knew there was no way pvd was gonna be there at 2 though. no way. after pvd we went up to the terrace for like 15 minutes, but no way. too freakin humid. then we left.

i looooooooooooooooooooooooved the new space. FINALLY they took that damn box in the front away. thank the fuckin lord. it really seems so much bigger now. and i loved the upstairs too. it was nice and cool up there so it was nice to get away from the huge crowd downstairs where i was swearing my nuts off. too bad it'll be mostly for hip hop. the live video feed they had going on the projectors was dope as shit too. i love the new lights they put in too, although one was fucking with me hardcore (even when i was sober). lol.

great seeing so many great friends out last night too. in addition to pvd, i just love the company. such a wonderful night is meant to spend with such crazy party people like all you guys! my love karen, lis, anthony, jasin, PHIIIIIL, rzo, kelly, dave, arturo, felipe, amber, eric, da, rachel, ryan, and anyone else i forget (sorry).

after that amazing show, pvd has finally regained A LOT of the respect i lost for him. i knew he had it in him, cuz he just cant lose his technical skills, esp the amazing talent pvd has, but i'm just glad he wasnt filling his sets with so much crap. his set was 95% awesome, 5% bleh.

this nite was fakN awesomE!!!!!!

when i got there got my will cal tix n like 2 secs later i heard the bouncers start tellin everyone to leave bc they were sold out. i was SO glad i got presales... walked in to space n heard edgar v dropping an awesome set. props to u mr v... paul van dyk was great as well.. ya a bit late but he made up for it... got up to the terrace then left around 8 30.. wanted to stay longer but i came in my friends car n he wanted to leave (i hate when tht hapens)... saw some TAs as well.. always a good time partyin with yall... til the next time

damn seems like everyone had as good a time as i did up here in d.c. the man's an animal, d.c. fri., ny/miami sat. he played some similar tunes down there i see. my highlight of the night though was randy katana - in silence (txitxarro remix), i've been wanting to hear that in a club for the longest and when he dropped it there was an explosion...damn i love this dj.

Over all it was a great nite and perfect ending to a not so good birthday First and foremost Felipe thank you sooooo much for letting us cut in line♥♥ you're a lifesaver and all of us appreciated it :::hugs::: Thanks to you the wait was no where nearly as bad as we thought it'd be.

As for Edgar OMFG awesome set like always he put on a great show. And PVD surprised me, I honestly thought his set wouldn't be the greatest of all due to the delay and the whole summerstage event, but the man indeed surprised me. FUCKIN AWESOME SET!!!

I was too tired to write a review before now. I was up for 36 hours before finally taking a power nap last night after I got home.

Colleen and I got to Space at a little after 12am. The line for Space was HUGE! We somehow lucked out by getting almost straight to the front of the line thanks to Adrian spotting us across the street and pulling us in line with him. Thank you Adrian!!! When we walked in Edgar was already on and everyone was definitely enjoying his set. PvD didn't get to Space until 3am and went on at about 3:15am. He spun until about 6:25am. Max went on about an hour early at around 4am, but he spun until after 8am. I went up on the terrace a few times (looking for my damn brother! ) so I was able to hear some of his set before finally going up after PvD's set at around 6:30am. It's like Colleen was saying...PvD was having too good of a set to walk away entirely. It's unfortunate that they had both of them spinning at the same time.

Space booked three amazing DJ's and all three of them delivered. Edgar had a great set as usual. He definitely made use of the extra time that he spun for. PvD was definitely into the night. I also was a little concerned that he would be tired after flying in and coming straight to the club. He was all smiles though...dancing around and singing to the music. His set was phenomenal and his vibe was engaging. He was eventually able to bring me out of the mental funk that I had been in all day. Max had a great set. The terrace almost always has a good vibe, but Max took it to another level.

As some of you know August 20th is an extremely hard day for me and I was really stressed out. I'm glad that I was in the company of my brother, some good friends, and some amazing music. I was into the music, but I wasn't really into hanging out until towards the end of PvD's set. I was feeling a lot better by the end of the night (early morning) when we were all on the terrace. Two tracks were tracks of the night for me. It's not because they blew the room up but more so because they were unexpected and hit close to home. PvD played Andain - Beautiful Things and for me that just came out of left field. Max closed with the With Or Without You remix and Gone, but it was before that when he played Olive - You're Not Alone that I was caught off guard. Both tracks made me think of Patrick.

Matt and Colleen...I love you both dearly! Road trips are always interesting with you guys. Lis...it was nice chilling with you and Anthony. You are too cute and I can't wait until this weekend! RzO...you going crazy to Gone was a classic moment! Max was staring at you like wtf and laughing! Brandon...thank you so much for hanging out with me. Sometimes just someone's presence makes all the difference. It was great seeing everyone else...Edgar, Amber & Luis, Ryan, Rachel, Raul, Damon, Felipe, Flo, Karen, Dave, Phil, RzO, Kelly, Harold, etc

I look forward to seeing a lot of you for the party on Saturday!

So cool to see PVD playing Markus remix of Andain. Reminds me of when Markus was a resident at Space. Used to love hearing him play that.

Lately is seems like alot of DJs sound like they are playing out of Markus schulz's record box. Defintly not a bad thing. Miami 05 rulez!

I had forgotten about With or Without You and You're Not Alone from Max, damn those sounded good. All that I heard from him was I'm not a huge terrace person, I like the dark atmosphere of the main room, but sometimes the right dj just makes being on the terrace an amazing experience. It used to be just Sander for me, now its also Max. Max come again and do a main room set please? kthx

omg, what a weekend. Co-Ray-Zee to say the least. Everything started thursday night at zinc here in orlando, not bad, it was decent. Worked all day friday. Knowing the insanity that was sure to happen on Saturday, i decided to chill friday night and get a good nights sleep. well for whatever reason that surely didnt happen. I ended up sleeping a meesly 2 hours before going to work at 8:30 AM on saturday. Like the true trooper i am, immmediately after work, ran home and packed a bag, hopped in the car and made my way to miami.

Met up with Flo and Karen at the pimpest hotel ive ever stayed in (Biltmore Coral Gables). 15 minutes later we were out the door and on our way to space. arrived at the club about 11sih. the line was INSANE!!!. found felipe about 2/3 of the way up and slid in with him (thanks bro!). 20 minutes later we were in the door.

Edgar was awesome, i really dug both of his sets. The Doctor arrived and of course had to get a VIP table which he was more than happy to let me get in on (you are the man dave!!!). and unfortunatly due to my terrible lack of sleep i ended up chillin on the couch in VIP like ALL NIGHT LONG. i didnt mind though, the AC up there was awesome, and the video screens gave the feeling of being in the booth with Paul.

And, WTF can i say about PvD that hasnt allready been said here. The last few times ive seen him, i found his sets to be "eh" at best, and was afraid that i was growing out of my PvD whore phase. But OMG, i have never heard Paul rock like he rocked last night. Everything from his opening track to the close, he was on point and bangin it HARD!!! all night long. Sitting there watching him from the video screen renewed my respectt and amazment for the Legend known as Paul Van Dyk.

Like a mad german scientist, he stood in his little audio lab pushing buttons and turning knobs, creating a concoction of grooves that had EVERYONE rocking out! Pure genious I tell you. IMO still and will allways be the greatest DJ ever!

i only had 2 complaints about pauls set: Beautiful things and time of our lives. i understand that alot of the crowd was happy to hear shit that they knew, but still i find them overplayed and cheesy.

after PVD, i made my way up to the terrace for about 30 seconds and decided it was way too hot and went back to my couch. Edgar was still rockin it nicely. i hung out there for a bit, had to bribe the bouncer to get Rzo and Kelly in with me to help finish the 2nd bottle of goose that no one was drinking. i made my way back up to the terrace sometime around 9:00 am and cedric was on.

Cedric was rockin some hardcore funky shit. Great terrace tunes, but i was too tired and the heat was really getting to me, so i hopped in a cab and went back to the hotel.


it was great to see everyone out and having a good time, sorry i wasnt being more social. Much love to Flo and Karen for letting me crash on the couch. I cant believe you posted this and made it your avatar. too funny!

as allways, dave was a life saver hookin me up with the VIP band, i would have died without a place to chill all night. great to see you as allways man.
