I have to sift through 60 pages of ASOT tracklistings and "OMG Tiesto" threads here daily...I think you can handle 2 semi-anti Tiesto threads The other one wasnt even a bash...just pointing you to the reviews so you could draw your own conclusions...

i can handle them fine. i just felt like agreeing with someone's opinion that they're a bit lame. in actual fact it was only this one i saw, but still...

and i've personally never felt the desire to click on an ASOT tracklisting thread, so can't say they bother me

Okay well I'm sorry you feel they're lame but I just came back from Tiesto in Concert and saw the man trainwreck BAD...

I seriously think he should use some sort of DJ software...

Ableton's overatted.

You've never used it huh...

Just sayin there's nothin wrong with doing it the old fashioned way like Tiesto. Traditional mixing sounds more raw and real to me is all.

Posted by NuDarkBeat on Aug-24-2005 04:45:

i actually do think that this would be a good idea. always having flawless mixing could never be a downer. the only downside i can think of in tiestos current state is that he puts even less effort into his mixes.

Posted by tribu on Aug-24-2005 05:53:

Ive seen him once and dont really need to go again, though I might if the situation was right (hot girls, free ticket with nothing else to do).

I don't really care what he mixes with. I don't imagine any new or olde methods he employs will radically change his sound.

and there is nothing more to be more creative with ableton than just beatmatching 2 records/cds/dats/gramophones
anyone can learn beatmatchin in a short or a long time

well at least most of people :P
wether they are famous djs or not..

btw i am bashing sasha for not doing anything new with ableton.....and using operator to create a drum loop and use it in almost every transition is nothing to me....but thats just me

+1

It just doesnt work with Trance i think, check Armin's horrible ASOT2005 for example, that cd was a perfect example on how not to use ableton

Posted by hooj1 on Aug-30-2005 00:35:

Before Tiesto uses ableton he needs to get some new tunes first. He plays the same shit for years on end... sad really

he didnt used 1% of it, some echoeing vocals into the next track but nothing more, that cd was utter crap

Tisto and not playing new tracks? I think that Tijs spins the biggest amount of new tracks of the 4 top trance jocks atm

The people that are tired of hearing horribly mixed sets of:

Forever Today
Adagio For Strings
Lethal Industry
Traffic

[camel fucking a toad next to people juggling fire interlude here]

Flight 643
Just Be
A Tear In The Open

[Tijs manages to do a god pose for a sustained 8 minutes through The Loves We Lost as it's his first marginally acceptable tune in the past two years but forgets he actually should be cueing up the next track]

[fireworks here]

set done.
