i know what the big bang theory is. I also know that nowdays it isn't as popular as it was a few decades ago. Assumptions aren't too swell to make. This is irrelevant to the thread though. As other people have said you cannot link intelligence to religion.

There are no absolute facts in science. Every single thing that you know has been derived by the means of assumptions.

There is no "proof" of the big bang theory, there are many pieces of observastional data that are consistent with the big bang theory. FYI, scientific theories are not proven as evidenced by the inconsistencies and uncertainties with various aspects of the theory of gravity. You forgot the part where the book claims itself to be true. You can't argue with something like that!

let me tell yall a story. there are two guys in heap load of shit. one guy starts to pray. the other guy tries to resolve the problem. not good enough? i have another.

two families have kids deadly sick. one family takes the kid to the hospital. well, you know what the other does.

can you conclude something from this?

Those stories made no sense seeing how no one would just sit there and pray for someone who has been hit by a Mack truck.

does this apply to every faithfull? also, the parents didn't think she was in a serious condition. PS note the date of the Kansas study. It has since been proven to be statistically erroneous.

studies and life are too different things, but all the times that people do feel better after their loved ones pray in temples/churches or w/e cannot be explained by any study.

Um, that statement speaks in "absolute" terms, which is the first problem.

There can always be an extreme case to prove or disprove theories and ideas.

You'd be very hardpressed to draw an accurate link between religion and intelligence(or lack thereof).

Having said that, those who are devout and hardcore about their religion are usually ... for lack of a better word ... "simple" citizens.

I think thats just pretty dumb. I would say if you are intelligent, and religious, you are above average.. everything else is just a matter of respect in opinions, and a lot of stuff from Scientific Logic and faith, you are to choose. Studying the bible well, requires intelligence to really know how to understand it, if you are dumb, you wont know a thing, and take things out of context ( like all those NEO cons! ) :-)
