Well theres that old saying. You want what you cant have.

This is true for me. And again leads to why do a lot of us girls fall for the jerks over the sweethearts. But yes its true. When a guy makes himself seem unavailable and doesnt just throw himself out there right away, its a game. I love the chase. The longer it takes me to get him the more and more Im going to fall for him. For example, I went out 2 nights ago, I met a guy, and we had a great time. He asked for my number so I was brave and gave it to him. He called me that night to make sure I got home ok which I was like alright thats sweet. Then he called me in the morning to make sure I got up ok. Then he called me 3 times last night. Yes 3 times. Needless to say I didnt answer any of those times. He didnt give me a chance for me to want to like him. Now Im completely turned off. But if he would have waited at least a day and no more than 2 days, then it would have held my interest. Confidence is a must even though I know I lack myself from time to time. For me when starting out with someone, give that person time to miss you. Less can be more. And always keep a sense of humor about yourself.

But like I said the longer it takes the more I fall. Maybe thats why Im still alone today? Haha oh well who knows

Read the bit asking "What women want"...

Reminds me of Sigmund Freud...After 30 years of studying people, Freud said that there was one question that he didnt have the answer to What do women want?

IMHO, women want a man that is in control of the situation/his emotions/feelings. It's true that women challenge us men constantly, to see if we'll mess up, or turn into a wuss. Of course that's just one aspect.

In regards to the "What women say they want, and what women go for" question, I think women migh say they want a sensitive caring man, but when the clich "bad-boy" comes along and sweeps them off their feet, they're dribbling with excitement.

Oh, and eye colour isn't as important to me as what the eyes 'SAY'...

ok for anyone who cares to respond:

i need some advice.

the whole chasing after someone, well i dont know if i should say chase because i don't like to "chase" after someone, but falling for someone who you really have to try for, when is enough, enough?
i find it so hard when you have so much to say to someone but yet you know it's better if you just sit back and say nothing and be patient. that's so hard for me because i'm always wanting to speak my heart. and sometimes i find that when i speak my heart it gets me in trouble because it opens me up and makes me vulnerable. then i get scared and runaway.

sigh....i've just got lots on my mind today and needed to vent.

The first few "getting to know you" weeks when you are just trying to hang out n stuff is the time to play a little hard to get...but after you feel each other out and spend a few good dates together, then I would drop the games. "Games" as in, not answering the phone every single time they call, or accepting a date at 8:00 on a Friday night (umm hello? If they want to hang out with u bad enough, they should call you on Wednesday for that weekend). If you drop plans to hang out with them when they call u at the last minute on a weekend, it makes you look desperate.

I gave off the "I have a really busy schedule with lots of friends, so you better call me early if you want my time" vibe to the guy I'm dating now and it worked like a charm I don't do that any more because we've been hanging out for a while now and we're a little more comfortable and into each other..but like I said, in the beginning it's cool and it usually works!

You just can't over-do it or else they'll get turned off and think you're not interested. The key is to act REALLY into them when you're actually together, but then once you're not hanging out, don't like drop everything for them and call them too much...stay busy. Because then it'll throw them off a bit and they'll think, "hmm, she's not picking up her phone, that's weird. she seemed like she really liked me when we hung out...hmmm, i think i need to see her again and see"

next thing u know, he's calling u again for another date.

i was going to say something but i think i'm going to play hard to get btw, letting ur pm box get filled works like a charm

Posted by Floorfiller on Sep-09-2005 17:49:

maybe i just over do stuff then in the past. i'm definitely the type of person that when i'm into someone all i wanna do is see them hehehe...probably a little too much.

i think this girl i saw this summer i did kinda do a little better at having my own space bla bla bla...but i just think that was because i was mostly not really into her...so i guess that doesn't count.

Yea not a good idea to come on too strong, if you do she'll be edgin for the ejector seat button. If your not in a fighter jet, she'll probably just feel a little suffocated.
