in general, ticket prices for "special events" go up in price the closer it gets to the event - they did this for armin and hawtin - i'm sure that the ticket prices would have gone up $10 even if pvd hadn't been voted the #1 dj in dj mag's poll.

you can still get some cheaper tickets at gramaphone and another level (i believe)

changed again

Now its changed from 1:30 - 3:30 to 2am - 4am. Still two hours though. Is this a wind up? Already got my ticket so will make the 3 hr drive for the 2hr set. I hope he doesn't let Chicago down.

^ agreed
3 hours drive + gas + tix + food + drinks= Paul van Dyk only playing 2 hours .... should I say .....BASTARDS

Posted by D&GGIRL on Nov-11-2005 21:38:

Didn't you guys read what the promoter said in response to the comment about it only being a 2 hour set?

Seneca also posted set times after that too. It's still supposed to be a long set (4 hrs.) with PVD on at about 1:00.

Posted by Alekos on Nov-11-2005 22:47:

According to Vision.com PvD will be playing for 4 Hrs... based of past experiences he will be playing for at least 5 1/2

Posted by D&GGIRL on Nov-11-2005 23:11:

5 1/2 hours here??? not possible (maybe tonight in New York)

Remember, there are 2 opening dj's that are worth getting there early to see, Seneca and Chris Walsh. According to the set times that Seneca posted, they'll each play for about 1 1/2 hours.

The most you'll get from PVD is 4 hours IF he goes on right at 1:00.

pvd

After seeing at RIV last time he was here. I was unsure of this set today that he will be spinning. His set at Riv waS HORRIBLE... Basically just thump, thump, thump. Not diverse at all! So I think PVD will do well today I have faith. His live sets past couple months been fukkin on. Also when he came to chicago last it was his "last tour date" So I figured Paul was tired & just wanted to go home and see his wife.

What will happen can't wait to see.

I was unsure about going to this until this morning when a friend called and told me how great his set was last night in NY. Based on what I've read and heard of how he's been lately it should be a great night. It's definitely going to be annoying and hot there though but that's pretty much a given.

aww..have fun guys!!!
can't wait to read the reviews!!

Well, I was so undecided on this show honestly because of the $50 tag, but seriously, his show in Central Park was absolutely sweet, not only because he played Northerns Lights either (he is definitely one to deliver), and POD2 rocks. It will be crazy tonight, lots of people, but look forward to seeing some TAs there.....I can't believet he first time I saw him was in 1998!

So glad you're going! I better see you tonight considering the last couple shows you never showed up to.... You know where to find me.

If you decide to go w/o tickets I suggest you go EARLY.
