to me, that's like saying "i'll be driving a lot less, because i find it annoying that most people can't drive properly" or "it's so hard to see a competent person at work, maybe i should come to work less often"
what's so annoying about these people? unless they're doing something that prevents you from enjoying yourself (poking you with needles?) i don't see a problem with them consuming whatever it is that they choose...if you find that the vibe is not to your liking at certain venues...go to another one (sticking to my examples...choose a different route - i personally avoid the stretch on bathurst between steeles and finch like the plague, or find a job with a different employer)
you can't please everybody all the time...

Yeah....actually...it is not a bad club....alot of euro and house...with very little hip hop....usually about a half hour set around 1 or 1:30 and that's it. Really friendly crowd there.

well i do like the guv complex. but as a sober person, it definately feels really out of place being around a club thats almost entirely on drugs, but as a fan of the music, i like to make trips, especially when my favorite djs come. but because of how the scene is, i definately see myself growing out of it in the next few years

I've never done a drug in my life!
When I go out I will do 5 shots of Vodka and drink beer like a fish all night. Unfortunetly I usually have to leave at 2:15 cuz they stop serving and I have to go home and heave my brains out. Sometimes instead I'll drink Red Bull all night.
But my body is CLEAN!! hahaha. Here's to double standards!
Drugs are bad mmmmmmmmmmkay?

I totally respect your views.. even when i'm a little effed up i still can find myself a little out of place.. some ppl get really messed up and its kind of scary sometimes...
as for you seeing yourself growing out of the scene..thats really too bad...its a shame that the effect of other ppls behaviour can have such a negative effect on your prefernce... but fact of the matter is ( and no matter how many people like to deny it) EDM clubs and drugs pretty much go hand and hand...thats just the way it is.. i haven't been in the scene that long..just about 2 years now.. but i've figured that out...its just something you have to look past.. i don't think its a good reason to deny yourself something you love just becasue of other ppls choices

I understand what you're saying...but certain venues have, and always will have a certain clientelle/vibe to them...there is nothing you can do about it
what I still don't understand is what it is about the people who consume substances that annoys you so much...
for me, the only annoying experience would've been a bunch of people jumping and running into people around them (my guess is they were drunk more than anything else, as they stank of booze)...that's annoying...but even that didn't last long, as others around them told them to chillout
if you go for the music/DJ you like so much...what difference does it make if strangers around you are "high"...most are there just to have fun/relax and enjoy the music...just like you...

maybe I should've been more specific...think "mosh pit"...these guys, around 4 of them would start running into each other and pushing each other, which eventually led to one of them being pushed or running into somebody near them...quite a difference between somebody "bumping" into you and "running/pushing" you

You think guv is sketchy... try the zone. Why do you concern yourself with what other people choose to do? If you're there for the DJ/music then enjoy it and don't focus on other things. It helps to have a good group of friends who you can have fun with.
