when the bloody fuck do they go on bloody sale?!?!?!!?!?!?

my husband is totally worth $65.

eek.

maybe it'll keep some people away. is it selfish that i want danny all to myself? lol i think it might be.

Posted by StereoPrincess on Nov-23-2005 21:50:

to put this into perspective.

last year, the 36 hour marathon was 75 dollars but drinks were 8 dollars each.

celebration in montreal was up towards 120 dollars a ticket.

peter, this is OPEN BAR. you can't tell me that you won't drink 65 dollars worth of booze.

it's a fair price for a NYE.

Posted by MarkT on Nov-23-2005 22:48:

At $65, I'll be surprised if there isn't some sort of limit imposed somehow (like it's just beer and bar shots that are free) or something like that.

$65 for NYE + open bar + major DJ is a *phenomenal* bargain in comparison to virtually ANY other party.

Maybe they're just trying to liquidate before new management/direction in the new year? L(

It makes me sad system is closing down. Very sad. I've had many good times at this place, living like 4 blocks away.

I'm so excited about this party I want it to be new years NOW!

Posted by slingshot on Nov-29-2005 22:08:

well, it looks like i will be staying here for new years now and making it out to this party...plus 270 afterwards. work til 4 on friday and than at 7am monday the 2nd has seriously complicated the original montreal party plans!

although....how can i be bummed out about having to stay here and listening to 7 hours of howells and than c&c.....

and there's my rant. slingshot out.

Posted by Xavier Moriarty on Nov-30-2005 04:42:

ive canceled all my plans, im gonna rent a room in toronto and i'll ht this party.

i wanna be the last person to walk out of system.

whats going on in cozo later on ???

Posted by aal07 on Nov-30-2005 06:22:

Howells it is and then off to 270 Spadina for some dark Iberican sound....

Posted by infinity HiGH on Nov-30-2005 06:56:

The only thing I'm worried about is the crowd and vibe. I hope open bar doesn't turn this into a massive drunk-fest (lol, yea i know...keep dreamin)

What does 2006 have in store for Danny Howells?

I'll be promoting the new Choice album, with a series of launch parties across the world for the first part of the year, as well as doing the Dig Deeper night. People initially thought I would be playing oldies and taking requests at Dig Deeper, but it's more about doing what we do in New York or Montreal, where we go in and musically take control of the whole night from open to close. We have hand-picked some clubs around the world, ones where I feel comfortable at, enjoy playing at, with good sound systems and a good connection with the crowd, so Dig Deeper will go to various cities over the course of the year. Hopefully more productions will come in the New Year, because that's the one things that's suffered this year..

man...I'd love to see him do this at that one club here...

and...

Final question, what's this I heard about you buying a Spongebob outfit? (see frontpage pic)

Oh God! Well I wanted to dress up for Halloween, as I never dress-up for that and everyone else does, but I saved up and got this really big, amazing Spongebob costume, but I wasn't able to take it to Miami because it was too big, so all I've done so far is walk around my town! Everyone was coming up saying, 'Can we get our picture taken with you?'. It was hilarious. We got kicked out of Virgin Megastore and caused a riot, got kicked out of a bookstore because some old lady said I tried to knock her over, but I couldn't see where I was walking so it was accidental!

gotta love how he tears up trance too, haha!!

i have a feeling he'll be touring for "choice" at aria...if only cos they let him play really long sets and he seems to love it there. hello roadtrip! or maybe it'll be time to go back to NYC again.

a quote from danny re: the sponge bob outfit:

"I've got some fucking classic pictures of me wandering around WHSmiths and Boots Chemist in the outfit but don't know how to post them. One kid started screaming with fear when he saw me, freaked him right out!"

hehe, i think he should wear it for new years.

someone on another board said they called system and asked about the open bar thingy and they were informed that it is not an open bar, that the all inclusive meant party hat, champagne, and food in the morning only...can anyone, who actually know's for sure, either confirm or deny this?

Posted by milos on Dec-07-2005 16:01:

party hat is enough for me
woot!

Posted by Mr. Sketchy on Dec-07-2005 20:43:

I would have loved that open bar to start out with. Does anyone want my breakfest, I wont be needing it.

see you there!!!!!

Posted by mr_obvious on Dec-07-2005 23:42:

well if it isn't an open bar they should stop advertising "all inclusive" as it's incredibly misleading. and the price is going even higher than $65 shortly, i guessing $75-80 if it isn't an open bar what a shame to have a bar go out like this, gouging their loyal patrons on the final night

Who else is having Danny Howells for 7 hours on NYE?

Can someone that works at System please clarify whether or not it will be an open bar?

Posted by kabelicious on Dec-08-2005 01:11:

So it's not open bar then????
