U guys covered it all for the details on the djs...For the most part, just delete that hour and a half in the rain, and it was all good. Best was partying with the TAs I already knew & those new ones I have just met! U guys rock
Nice prep for this weekend...Im ready!!!
yeah that was John Do & Justin Gourley, they used to be Avalon residents now they have their own bi-monthly night at King King called Basic. and it was infact them on the patio at all of Sasha's Fundacion nights.
btw sarah looks absolutely ecstatic in that picture of her with the sign

Ok, now that I am some what came back to reality, I can gather my thoughts and post a small review.
First of all... HOLDEN IS GOD!
My first time seeing him, and I was in awe. Holden lived up to all the hype. Like someone else mentioned, I didn't leave the dancefloor once during his set. I didn't want to miss a second of his performance. Is it just me, or did he play Nathan Fake - Outhouse?
His set was going great, next thing you know, the bouncers push everyone back, and close the curtains. Fucking afterhour power E-tards.
That was a total buzzkill. I stayed just to see Matt Darey for a few minutes, and I was disgusted and took off.
Lavelle was also a buzzkill, although he played a few sick chOOns. Holden should have started earlier and played a longer set. Who is the dumbass responsible for picking the timeslots for Avalon? Whoever it is, they have no clue how to throw good parties.
oh, and what is this hypnotic bells remix of Breathe on Me that Jules is talking about? I just tried downloading it on soulseek, and it's the same one that Holden played on saturday.

Thanks!
Hey Montie,
Thanks for the props, I really appreciate it. Justin and I are still Avalon resident DJs, the only thing that ended was our patio residency during the Fundacion parties (we were the DJs on the patio each night of Sasha's Fundacion events). Now that is over, you can expect to see us in the main room and patio. In fact, we're on the patio 11/26.
We also throw Basic (always the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month) at the King King Club. We've been doing that for almost four years, and have a great line-up to close out 2005.
11/4 DJ Three
11/18 Luke Fair
12/2 4 Year Anniversary Party with Resident DJs
12/16 Desyn Masiello
If you want to hear some mixes from our Basic Frequencies Radio show, just visit my myspace profile (http://www.myspace.com/djohndo). YOu should be able to navigate to Justin's page where he's got his mixes up too.
Cheers,
John

Adam Hagen and Larry Kahm, both residents at Basic, will be opening up for Luke. I wish I could be there that night, but I'll be in Chicago playing at Sound Bar. You can catch Justin opening up for DJ Three, and me opening up for Desyn.
USC rules!!
Cheers,
John

actually i like the version he played better....has a sick buildup and a nice drop! i think if he played the version u liked...it wouldnt have gone with the flow of his set.
Nah, the remix I like is so much more emotional, and is more twisted and takes u somewhere else! Well, in my opinion atleast. I like your taste is music though... so I'm not talking sh*t or anything!

Trust me there have been some pretty bad ones of me too. I think the only Drew took of me looks pretty awful. But oh well.
