agreed. the vibe in there is always good to me. there was a shit load of people tho which automatically lessens dancefloor space, so you get more head nodding (even tho we rocked that shiiiit) and I LoVE the kryo blasts.. hahah I don't think ill ever get sick of it
but yea.. less VIP and more dancefloor for sure
i doubt they would cut down on VIP i wish most clubs in vegas did that but the fact vegas is a money city and VIP brings in cash. I personaly the whole table vip service has really made the club scene shitty for the last few years.
ya ice has less than 2 years left er something, I believe they are building condos on that lot.
And he played for just over 5 hours, you guys are forgetting the clocks went back at 2am.
I think that leeloo girl should have won for hottest outfit, i think we all noticed her.

Sasha put on a really good show, I was a little skeptical after seeing him at Avalon, but it was a completely different show this time. The energy was 100 times higher and I loved how he was able to interact with the crowd. He really seemed to be paying attention to how the crowd was reacting. There was a little less dancing going on than I would have liked (except for the TAs of course!), but I guess that just means more room for me! Ice is a great club too, although I kinda feel like I'm being fire-extinguished when they spray that stuff! Fun times, hope to see you all again soon! |

| Originally posted by Miss Julia First of all, I have to thank Simon again for making this weekend possible!!! Well, the only thing I liked about Ice's venue was that the DJ booth was close to the crowd. Other than that, I hated the venue. First off all, they need to: 1.) Get rid of that horrible air/fog blasting machine. Everytime that thing blowed, I was scared someone would step on me or grab me. And it was FREEZING air. Instead of wasting money on that thing, they should invest in a new air condition system. 2.) They need to invest on expanding the club, or atleast getting rid of the VIP section that's on the dancefloor. That thing was taking way too much space. 3.) Stop flashing those strob lights so fast. In combonation with that fog machine, my eyes were killing me, and they were so red. There were points that I had to close my eyes because they were hurting so bad! It was kind of cool that there weren't too many "laundry service" people @ Ice... but instead, there were alot of drunken, sweaty slobs. Some of the guys were actually pretty damn hot lol, but I couldn't make eye-contact with any of the guys, because they would think I'm interested in them, and they'd try to dance with me. I didn't want to be bothered with any guys... I just wanted to be with my friends and enjoy the music! About Sasha's set. He ROCKED like there was no tommorow! Wow, 4 hours of Sasha was like candy to my ears! I was kind of hoping he would play a few tracks he's been playing recently, but he didn't ... oh well. I took the day off work today to just rest & relax... and get ready for Nic tonight!! ![]() p.s. I'm glad I didn't make it in any of those pics! |
your in vegas, at a club called ice, on halloween night, @ Sasha.

Was good seeing TA's in Vegas and meeting new ones (jennavive00)! Bas and Bunny whee fun to party with and it was cool meeting GPC again....properly lol!!! Thanks to Simon for letting us kinda chill at his room for a bit after the gig! Speaking of the gig.....SASHA fuckin ROCKED IT PROPER!!! he truly is #1 in my book and will most likey stay there for a very long time! he got on and wasted no fuckin time in building his set......bass drops....crowd goes nuts!! i love to see crowd reactions when a great DJ is on the decks! and i have to agree, Sasha was reading the crowd like a fuckin book! only a master like him could easily do that! That Kyro maching was fuckin awsome......the only problem i had with it was when i had been sweating for hours......then it blows out that cold ass air.... and i would literally think i was droped in Russia or something....i would freezzzzze my ass off for that 1 minute period! but i loved how u cant see shit and the strobe lights would mind fuck u even more!! total MIND FUCK....and we all know how much i like that
...
the vibe was great....people were nice.....music was awsome....only problem i had was in the beggining....not enough room to dance...but as the nigth progressed.....people would leave and more room for me to boogy on down! i gave this trip a 10 out of 10....everything went as planned nd i wouldnt change a god damn thing....ohh wait i would have gambled a bit....i think im the only person that went to Vegas....and didnt gamble for a god damn second!.....bah its ok, next time!

thanks for the thank yous. im glad everyone had a great time. it always makes everything so much better when you are spending it with your closest friends from LA: julia, tigo, clovis, greg, bas and bunny.
i still a sasha noob, so i dont really qualify to critique him. but his set was a mindfuck for sure and just like clovis said, he tells a story with his music and reads the crowd.

Amazing reviews, sounds like sasha at some of his best in possibly one of the best venues by clovis's great description! Across the Mojave, past the Cajon Pass, into the basin...I was having my fair share of bliss!!!

oh, and the minimum bottle count for teh main room to get a table was 4. Them foo's paid out the bum for those tables. But yes, I do wish they would kill that hip hop room, break a wall down, and increase teh size of the floor.

| Originally posted by Kurve This was definatly an amazing night ...sasha rocked it as usually btw the Intro track that sasha droped was a Old Bedrock track Salt Tank - Energy. You see Ableton at times had a few skips here and there i think in time that program will become more stable. Sasha last 2 hours just tore it up!! |

All I can say is that had to be the night of 2005 for me. Sasha rocked, Ice is sick, the TAs (Clovis, Tigo, Bas, Bunny, Boomer, Simon, Julia, Jennavive and a couple of others I guess I didn't meet), and everybody else partied hard. Met two cool couples from Oklahoma who kept supplying us with water. Thanks.
I don't think I recognized a single track Sasha played. I loved it. I thought this was better than any of the Avalon events I went to. Seeing him work and react to the crowd the way he did was amazing.
Ice is perfect. They don't need to change a thing. The have a great vibe going on. The speakers sitting at the corners demand respect and sound great. We bought our tickets thru WantTickets and they let us in first. The employees were professional and nice.
I will agree with Julia, the place was packed. At first, I couldn't even move let alone dance and I thought we were in for a tough night. But we moved up to the booth where the guys from Oklahoma (sorry I don't remember your names) had staked out some space and there was alot more room. Go figure.
The first time the Kryo thing went off, I seriously almost past out. We were in the middle of the dance floor and it dumped straight on top of us. Leahs hat got blown like 15' away. I literally could not breathe. My legs gave out and Leah was holding me up
The next time it went off, we were like 2 feet closer to the booth and it was like heaven. Felt so damn good!!! Loved it every time after that. Still kinda sketchy though.
Drive up there sucked ass. Took 2+ hours to get thru the pass and Victorville because of a wreck. Stayed in a shit room, didn't even gamble and still dropped $700+!!! But it was all worth it.
Here are some pics. Will post a video later.

Check out the woman behind Leah. I think she made the trip from LA lol.
