Blazers have traded away or let go a lot of the Jail Blazers but unfortunately 3 knuckleheads remain. Zach "I only care about shooting and my stats" Randolph, Darius "F You coach" Miles, and Ruben "The Rapist" Patterson who constantly bitches. He isn't even that good, he's a junk ball player and overplays guys on defense so he gets burned a lot. Please God some team take any of these guys. The problem is Zach and Darius have these big fat contracts and no one wants those if they are gonna be babies. And the Blazers don't want more bad contracts in return.
Funny but Zach and Darius are the only guys worth a damn though on a nightly basis...
I thought Telfair has improved greatly since last year,way ahead of Shaun Livingston in my opinion and looks like he is going to be a solid player for awhile on that team.
Maybe the Knicks will take one of the bad contracts ,they seem to have enough of them
Raps lose. again.
Suns had a horrid game but Raps didn't capitalize and Suns heat up on 4th quarter. If i was Sam Mitchell, I'd have white hairs by now.
Trade Jalen Rose as he's making huge amount of dough and not providing enough. He's too old.

Attention at Saras Jasikevicius, the best PG in Europe: a real winner, leader skills, 3-pointer machine, very good hands at both sides of the ball (great defender and an offensive playmaker, passing or shooting).

Ron Artest doesnt want to leave, but was quoted that if he was traded out of Indiana, he wants to be traded somewhere East, not West (of course you know why .. sounds like Artest cant handle the "power division" .. hahhahaa .. kidding )
before Stephen A Smith made this statement, he said that Kyle Korver is the best pure shooter in the NBA right now, and Andre Igoudala is the most explosive dunker.

Stan Van Gundy resigned from the Heat 
Guess Riley is back to run the ship in Miami

Van Gundy said he first approached Riley about stepping down six weeks ago after the opening win at Memphis. He told the Heat players of his decision Monday morning. "For six weeks I tried to convince him to stay on," Riley said. Riley's eyes welled with tears as Van Gundy announced the reasons for his decision. "It came down to a choice, and for me, the choice was clear," Van Gundy said. He said he will remain in the organization, and insisted he had no desire to coach elsewhere. Van Gundy's job status had been the subject of speculation in South Florida for months, starting when Riley -- his mentor -- said shortly after the Heat's 2005 playoff run ended that he decide to take a larger role in the team's day-to-day operations. That comment, which seemed innocuous at the time, set off a storm of speculation that Riley was planning to dismiss Van Gundy and take over a team with two of the NBA's biggest stars, Shaquille O'Neal and Dwyane Wade. Riley and Van Gundy eventually met for nearly four hours in mid-July. Van Gundy emerged from that session saying he was assured that he'd remain Heat coach. The team has struggled in its first 21 games, going only 11-10, albeit without O'Neal for 18 of them while the 12-time All-Star nursed a sprained right ankle. It wasn't the start anybody expected from a team built to contend for an NBA championship. The 46-year-old Van Gundy left with a regular-season record of 112-73. Riley has won 1,110 games in 21 seasons as a coach, plus led the "Showtime" Lakers of Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to titles in 1982, 1985, 1987 and 1988. He also coached the Knicks (1991-95). Van Gundy was Riley's top assistant for eight seasons, getting the job shortly before the 2003-04 campaign when Riley walked into his office unexpectedly and told him he was stepping aside. And just as suddenly, Van Gundy is now gone, hours after leading the Heat to an overtime win over Washington on Sunday night. Before coming to the Heat, Van Gundy had college stints at Vermont, Castleton State, Canisius, Fordham, UMass-Lowell and Wisconsin. When Riley joined the Heat, Van Gundy came with him in large part because his brother, Jeff, was under contract to the New York Knicks and couldn't stay on Riley's staff. His first season as head coach didn't get off to a good start, with the Heat losing Van Gundy's first seven games. But with Wade leading a talented nucleus of young players, Miami finished that season 42-40 and as the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. And that summer, Riley sent three players to Los Angeles for O'Neal, who had been part of three championships with the Lakers. Van Gundy coached the Heat to a second consecutive season of a 17-win improvement, getting them to 59-23 and guiding them to the Southeast Division title and to the East finals. |

I find this resigning to be a bit of bullshit
1st of all i find it hard to believe Van Gundy wanted out.
and
wow Riley sure hired himself at the perfect time right when Shaq is comin back from injury.
I dont like this at all, whats up with the short leash, its Rileys fault for getting sorry ass Antoine Walker and so on.Van Gundy has only taken 2 completely different teams far into the playoffs, this year the team wass restructured again and you know new teams need time to adjust to each other, and they "fire" him after just 20 games?
not to mention Shaq hasnt really played this year and he's the single most dominate force in the NBA, this team woudve been completely different had he been healthy.
and you think Van Gundy woudve "resigned" due to family if Shaq were around and this teams record was really good

so miami wins 2 in a row ... pat riley sure looks like a philosophier out there on the court ..
how about them nook hornets ? i said i was still going to support them through thick and thin, and right now, they're playing some solid basketball .. i was awaiting for the day when lee nailon would leave the hornets, because that would give david west the room to grow ... i knew this guy was good ( hell yeah he has to have something if he helped xavier ohio reach the elite 8 ) , but he just didnt get enough minutes before . on the bench, he was averaging about 7 pts and 5 rbs a game consistently .. now, he is putting up about 15 pts 8 rbs a game, but i see many games where he has the 20+ pts 10+ rbs a game .. this guy can become something this year . then again, this is his "contract year" , where the hornets have to either resign him, or drop him after this year.
but also kudos to my man chris paul who is getting the job done, and jr smith for hitting those 3's . and pj being pj, and desmond mason finally learning the byron scott system , i see a bright future ahead for them, maybe even this year .

sounds like Sacramento is a frontrunner right now, but anything can happen ...
think about a team with stephen jackson, stojakavic, jeff foster, jermaine oneal, and jamaal tinsley running the floor at the same time .. or take out foster, put saurunus on the floor, while putting oneal at center .. pretty good team ...
but if indiana is going to trade artest, hopefully larry bird is smart enough to trade him for someone who doesnt lack defense ..
i think dwight howard is getting half an inch thicker at the shoulders every single game. I just watched some of my first NBA since last year, and jeeeeeeeez.
So I was at a Heat game last night, It was great, Heat beat the Hawks 111-92.
