Honestly, I don't mind the track so much but if it were me, I'd play stuff that nobody else knows. When I hear a new DJ playing the same shit everybody else plays, it just tells me he doesn't have his own unique sound.

You know what Fong?!? You are right! I have VIP access at Club Scottaculous on the Big Red Sofa! Why am I even thinking of paying to go see Mr. Yee?

Oh Ya I forgot, I am going for G&D!!!

LOL J/K

P.S. For all you people who are hating on G&D, there is a reason that they ranked so far up on the top DJ list these past few years!! Where is Trey to back me up on this?!? You don't break the top 10 without someone thinking that your productions are good and that you can build a set! (With the exception of Tiesto....)

Kind of cheese in my mind. I like the first one better then this. I am glad that you are trying to put something together though. Keep the ideas coming!

Posted by scamsel on Nov-16-2005 14:25:

i like the first pic of tees, pretty cool. can you print on black t-shirts though?

There's also a reason The Black Eyed Peas are so popular but just because they're popular doesn't mean that they're better than everyone who is less popular. They SUCK ASS! That's just the way it goes. People who suck get more recognition because dumb asses don't know what's quality.

Just for the record, I love a lot of G&D's older productions (e.g. ILS - Music (G&D Remix), Depeche Mode - Here is the House (G&D Remix), Grayarea - One for the Road (G&D Remix)). It's their DJing that I wasn't impressed with.

Posted by Pete K on Nov-16-2005 16:20:

Of course they lack in the DJing dept...but who cares. I'm willing to put up with so so mixing if the music is good. Listen to some of the electro house sets from guys like David Guetta, Jasper Dahlback etc etc etc...mixing is awful, but the tracks make up for it.

But the reason I think G&D suck as DJs has nothing to do with their mixing skills, it's their track selection that's so bad.

Posted by zenperson on Nov-16-2005 16:42:

G&D's sets are feel good sets... you don't go to hear anything spectacular...just hit after hit after hit... the last time they were here, it was a lot of fun... I mean, their mixing sucks and their progression is non-existent, but they're not the only ones like that..I mean shit, if you've already paid to get in, you may as well stay for the whole night.. EDM doesn't always have to be so underground that you can't recognize a single track... Sometimes a little cheese is good for the spirit

Posted by Pete K on Nov-16-2005 16:43:

Like they say music is subjective, and you're definitely entitled to your opinion. Be it right or wrong, it's your opinion.

Posted by ThomB on Nov-16-2005 16:44:

It's never been about superior mixing skills with G & D imo - its about going out and having a good time.

Isn't that what clubbing is about?

Sometimes I think people forget the reasons for going out in the first place - overanalyzing kills everything

Just my 2 cents

I don't doubt I'll have a good time, I always do regardless of how bad the DJs suck but part of being a member of a music forum is to criticize the artists that suck and praise the ones that don't. I wasn't trying to be negative, I was just giving my review and there's nothing wrong with that.
