w000000000000000000w

Last night was amazing, I seriously love all ya nyta's, ya know who you are ( 2 many to list) I never heard a set like this from PVd and i thought it was his best ive seen soo far. I could barely ID his tracks which i enjoyed, and he deffinately kept me dancing alllll night.
I think it was smart of roxy to stop letting ppl in, any more & it woulda been ridiculous. I actually thought it wasn't as crowded as other times at roxy,. ahh il post more later

ps: Spitty u dance harder than me lol thats awesome

awesomeeeee!!!!!!

we arrived at roxy at 11:30 and got the chance to listen the last minutes of jerry bonhams set. it was... bad... sure i like this kind of music too, but there was no party... too slow... bad warm-up.
as paul came it was amazing to see the crowd screeming.
the set was good. typical pvd syle. trancig... harder... nice mix. but the club was definitely too warm! so i missed almost 2 hours of his set because i sat in the lobby... tired...
but at 5 we went back on the dancefloor and were partying to this nice tunes! 5:50 he finished... no music... the crowd was screaming! then he played some extra tracks and i think 6:15 he finally finished his set, gave some autographs and then the security throwed us out... i got no autograph...

it was a damn good night, i met some nice guys and some of you ta's... and i lost my voice cause of sreaming the whole night

pix... later!

Be Cool!

frequent visitor and first time poster.

yeah i agree that pvd's set was awesome.

the fobs i could've done without...the massive moving jellos of flesh. i swear i was manhandled by some. though when pvd first came on the crowd was so tightly packed in the front i should've turned around to say hello to the guy who was grinding my ass. personally, i make it a rule not to jump in the sack with people who's namei don't know...

and now my feet hurt, i'm exhausted, my voice is going and i'm having flashbacks of pvd's set. is that normal? maybe i should go see my HMO.

Posted by djtrinity on Nov-12-2005 19:58:

i dunno think i may have that problem also....those last 2 hours in there just warping my brain

WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A FUCKIN NIGHT IT WAS !!! i have been to so many clubs and this was my first time goin to Roxy and i got there pretty early around 10 didnt have to wait online since i bought advance tix so i got in real quick, Jerry Bonham was droping some awesome and amazing trax!!! which i rarely hear in the clubs. The crowd last night was i thought pretty diverse and there were a lot of ravers, there were a couple of circles where people were raving and i started glowstringin and stomping. THE LIGHTS,LASERS AND VISUALS WERE FUCKIN INSANE !!!!!!!!! PVD REALLY OWNED ME LAST NIGHT!!! this was also the first time i got to see him live and im happy that it was at the Roxy!!!

I've only got about 10 more minutes on this crap computer before my times runs out so i'll add to that list when I get home. Only came on to find out how to make an international call from the U.S

Tune of the night was definitely a tie between Marzz - Helion Prime and whatever remix of Oscar G & Ralph Falcon - Dark Beat he played. (Weren't the Southside's "Feel it Deep" Mix like he usually plays.)

I love all you TA's you are awesome! Glad to have met a bunch more of you last night!
great bunches of people!

I've got to say though, I did have a good time, the music was HOT, but, I have to admit, I wasn't feeling PVD as much as Armin at crobar.

I really didn't take a liking to the roxy....supercrowded and super-hot and sweaty..by then end of the night I looked like I was stuck in a rainstorm!

anyway, he definitely played a great set, but it did get a little boring at a couple of points. and one thing I didn't like about him as a dj is that he didn't engage the crowd much. you got maybe a couple of smiles throughout the night and a few hand movements but other than that he just didn't seem like he was that into it, which made me not really feel it...whereas at armin, armin was totally about the music and the crowd and full of energy which got me hyped up more...and I definitely liked crobar better than roxy.

on another note, it probably put a damper on my night that my friends who were supposed to come with me bailed at the last minute...that was a bummer.

so TA's, you are awesome!

and I got a little glow-stick action in last night! shared some guys glow sticks for a bit haha! vern, I'm a natural right? hahaha!!!!!

I probably should have had a few more drinks last night but it was so freaking hot in there I had to keep drinking water instead!

good night overall, but gotta say armin is still my fav!

glad everyone had a good time!!

Hmm... now I wish I had come to this

That's a pretty good tracklist... glad PvD is back on track...

awsome night
got to the city around 11:30
saw the line down the block skipped that shit lol
i got in at exactly 12:10 right when pvd came on
i dunno what it is about roxy but i always have a good time there
always a good crowd even tho its a lil too crowded but not too many jerkoffs or meathead kids walking around
and there was alot of cute girls there who were danceing and getting into it
low points of the night was the lines and i saw the line for the girls bathroom i feel bad for you girls shit was 20 min long
and the ac in roxy sucks
highlights of the night was of course pvd's set
insane set, got a lil boring from 2:30 till 3:30 but after that all harder techy, techno sounding tracks
the lasers and lights were awsome, and i love how if you stand by the back bar and look across the dance floor you see the whole crowd i love that site and you can only see it at the roxy
and i saw plenty of people with cameras last night, i thought they dident alow them, i dunno
but over all it was a great night he should play at roxy all the time

great night, pvd always bring the best to nyc. same encore as last time in april with mindcircus . my fav track of the night Coldplay - speed of sound (remix???).
next pvd gig for me in Colombia

Posted by SidMl on Nov-12-2005 22:17:

Great night. Good to see everyone again.

I brought a friend along and popped his PvD cherry. He loved it so much that he was bitching about why I never brought him before. He's hooked.

I was loving it but the heat kept getting to me. I didn't think it was too crowded. PvD or Armin at Crobar was crowded, this was nothing. Lots of chillout space everywhere.

One of those nights you wish would never end. I came home and played some older sets before going to bed since they were ringing in my ears anyway.

... and the record plays the dark side of the moon ...

Had a great time! His set went up and down in terms of styles. Was interesting how he mixed the tracks. Like halfway into each track, he would mix out. Pretty cool. Will post vids up later.

Tracks that I can think of at the moment:

?= Not 100% positive on what it was

Enmass - Beyond Horizon
Mark Otten - So Serene (Original Mix)
Solarstone - Release (Original Mix)?
Mike Koglin Vs. Jono Grant - Sequential (Original Mix)
Kuffdam & Plant - Summer Dream (Whiteroom Remix)
Kuffdam & Plant - Summer Dream (Paul van Dyk Remix)
Thomas Bronzwaer - Close Horizon (Original Mix)
Paul van Dyk Feat. Second Sun - Crush (I Know You Want Me) (Vandit Club Mix)?
Deep Voices - Alone Again (Thomas Datt Remix)
Luminary - Amsterdam (Original Mix)

*Will think of the rest later*

IDs

The first track was Randy Katana - Play It Louder build up mashed with something else
A Track that had vocals saying "House Music"

What u mean by mixing out ? Dont tell me he pulled an Erick Morillo by bringing the track in, lower volume until almost silence, and then bring it up again. If he did that, I would have thrown my water bottle at him. LOL.

Posted by The Riddle on Nov-12-2005 22:42:

PVD definitely picked it up towards the end but by that time he'd lost me. I wasn't feeling him last night. The sweltering heat could have also had something to do with it.

Nah, like usually tracks have a halfway point. So it seems like the track is gonna end but its really halfway through. He just seemed to mix it at that point. In other words, he didnt stay too long with some of the tracks. Tune after tune in quick succession
