Anyway personally I was always a big Edge & Christian fan cos they were just so random & Stupid, and never liked eddie much until he came back from rehab & seemed really focussed on what he was doing, had this happened 4 years ago then it wouldn't have surprised me, but for a man to kill his demons and then end up like this, it's definitely not fun.

man when they first entered the league with lita and were flying off ladders and doing crazy shit they were the bomb! eventually they got too much talk time, and had that fued where they split up and it went downhill from there.

in case you haven't, check Eddie's run as Black Tiger Eddie Guerrero in New Japan Pro Wrestling or his year in ECW before going to WCW. You'll see him really focused. He only got seriously into addictions circa '99 or '00. Anyways if you like wrestling more as a sport then entertainment, which I dunno if it's the case, his matches in NJPW are legendary (as well are Benoit's or Malenko's there, for instance). Damn, I still can't believe this happened

yeah, it really sucks, while he wasn't my favourite, i respected the mans ability. The closest thing to good 'real' (tho still scripted, just less obvious & better moves) we get is ROH but the wrestling channel here is about 7 months behind

couldnt believe this when i heard yesterday. eddie was the ultimate. his matches were always exciting and he was always willing to go the extra, to take that extra risk to entertain. whether as a heel or face he was always one of the most entertaining and charismatic wrestlers ever. a true legend who will be greatly missed. 2 days ago i was so excited cos he was gonna win the title and be the champ when i go to sheffield next week and now i'll never get another chance to see him perform.

his last match summed up everything that made him entertaining, with Ken Kennedy, cheating the ref into thinking that kennedy had hit him with the chair and then taking a beating from "mr kennedy" afterwards. to be honest im still in shock, cos its not as if he was old or anything, 38 is no age at all

Honestly, how could it not have anything to do with drugs? You don't just drop dead at 38...my guess is steroids. when he came off the painkillers & booze he filled his life with the gym & eating, he built hismelf up so he could be a main eventer, and it worked, he won the title, obv we dunno if he had help in doing so but the autopsy will show

my guess is on heart failure of course as many wrestlers need to handle the steroid issue, and it's sad to know that in average, a pro-wrestler life prolly lasts till he turns 45 or 50. Batista and that crew are doomed, but hey they know that too and it's a decision they take. We shall not forget that although he was sober and healthy for 4 years, those years took a toll on his body obviously...

Ian, in Portugal we only got smack and raw on tv this year, but the internet is flooded with puroresu etc, but yeh on TV ROH is the best equivalent you'll get over there I get everything since i download and buy tapes often hehe

Speaking of Japan Wrestling, my favorite Japanese wrestler is The Great Muta! Talk about a legend. And as far as legendary matches go, Mick Foley in the Japanese Death Match is probably #1.

I saw an ad on TV tonight for the next WWE PPV event and they were still advertising Guerrero as being on the card. Looks like their PR department needs to get their heads out of their asses on this one. I don't watch wrestling anymore but it's always sad to see someone go out so young. RIP.
