I woulnd't like it if my friend tried to get me to listen to hip-hop LMAO!!!! okay okay sorry. But what you guys have to understand is that Antony has such a strong love for Trance(all edm i hope ) that he wants to show his friends what they're missing. I know i went through that phase a while ago. I wanted to get so much of my friends into it. I guess we all love trance sooo much that we want to spread the love. |
The way I did it when I was living in the dorms, I would crack my door open and play the stuff on my stereo constantly. It wasn't just trance, and it wasn't obnoxiously loud either. Sometimes people would come into my little cell and ask me about the stuff I was listening to, I made a couple good friends that way. I would also drive around in my car with the windows down and the music playing, again not obnoxously loud and not only trance music.
Generally if you just listen to the stuff and somebody who likes it happens by they will approach you and ask about the songs. Another thing that helped me was on some nights when the EDM radio shows would come on the college stations, kids tend to be more accepting of stuff when it comes through the radio compared to stuff that comes through the internet.
I have only taken like 2 of my non EDM friends to parties and when they got there they were APPALED. Don't take your friends to a happy hardcore/DnB event for their first time, that was a bit too crazy for them and strangers kept walking up to them trying to sell them drugs, they left like an hour later and slept in the back of my car for the rest of the night.
Generally the more effort you put into this the less succeful you will be, at least that is what I have noticed.
