I don't know about you guys but Nat has the best collection of stories that I have ever heard. EVER.
My ears really hurt. The stereo in there was very very very loud.
I also wanted to thank JEff Breen for coming back and spinning in the front room so I could have some good tunes to dance to in an area where there wasn't too many pushy people.
What a night indeed
Wasn't sure what to expect music wise but I knew it'd be crowded and it was !! but that was about the only problem I encountered, tee hee I averted this by usurping myself a spot FRC with some Tas ( thanks dustin
) so the mad Rush ended up behind me.
Anyways- I stood right in front of Sander from the start of his set till about 4.30am and danced my ass off the whole time. Sander! Sander! Sander! Thank You! what a set- one of the best I have heard at System Soundbar. and EVERYBODY was there
so there was no shortage of people to kick it up with. OMFG!! Miki was there WHOOTT!!! twas nice to c you. YEp! There were some crazy people there ( what with the pushing and shoving ) I caught myself mimicking this disturbing behaviour at some points on the night
scareyyyyyy shit! none-the-less there were some really kewl people out last night as well- those that looked out for us small people. btw-I think i was with you chinaman
i couldn't find anyone at the end so at about 4.30am it was getting a bit much even for me so I went home... a happy camper tho
I haven't danced like that in ages- lol!
all in all
music 15/10
vibe 8/10
overall- 10/10
Sander for President!
Sander for King!
and System SOundbar, Thank You.
signed,
one happy customer.
- Great tunes.
- Sound was a little off, especially in the front room.
- Way too crowded and almost no room to dance anywhere (I found a semi-OK spot on the raised area in the main room, but I had to keep moving around to avoid the pushy people).
- Some seriously messed up sketchbags were ruining my personal vibe. Much more plastic than I'm used to seeing at System as well.
This honestly felt more like a Guv party than a System party to me. Maybe I'd have enjoyed it more if I was sketchy, but that's kind of lost its appeal for me and in retrospect I'm glad I stayed sober.
The first few hours were great hanging out with all my favourite party partners, although I didn't run into some of the people I really wanted to see.
Oh well.
Eventually I started to feel sick and took off around 5 (after waiting in the coat check line for another hour). Sorry if I brushed anyone off at that point, all I wanted to do was get the hell out and I couldn't even do that.
To be honest, I think I could have done without this party, and it's made me rethink my NYE plans. Hope the rest of you had fun though!

It's about you and the sun
A morning run
The story of my maker
What i have and what i ache for
thank god for music in the coat check area otherwise i would have gone crazy waiting there ...it might have been packed but i didn't have much trouble finding room to dance at all ...obviously it was rammed near the dj but you could find some nice pockets in the back ...i didnt have trouble w/ the crowd at the back either ...other than that it was a wicked set, glad i finally got a chance to see sander ...met a couple of you but forgot your names lol
One of the girls in my party crew was from Scotland last night, so the bouncer was nice enough to show some Canadian hospitality by giving us the 5$ off tickets. Good start.
Sander played a really good set, lot's of dark prog! Around 5:30AM he went for a trancy bit which I think caused the dance floor energy to sag for a bit.
I stayed till around 6, and luckily had someone fetch my coat for me so I didn't have to go crazy waiting in that coat check line!
Overall, good night, but as Diginut said it was a bit of a Guv crowd... not everyone was there to appreciate Sander K.
Awesome, awesome party. I was skeptical about this party, but Sander showed me why people like him so much. He absolutely destroyed the place. It was one of the best times I've ever had at System. The DVDJ gig was awesome too. I agree Jon, the Muscle Car visuals were AWESOME.
P.S. Josh is the king. Party ponytails, Australians, and Tony rock.
hey guys, who was spinnin in the front room around 5-6 in the morning?

Better late than never...
Got there late, we were on guestlist, but that line was more than TWICE the length, so we figured $5 more was worth it not to stand in the freezing wind anymore.
Got in, biiiiig sigh at the sight of the coatcheck line, but luckily the girls I was with were short and unnoticeably snuck right up to the window and got coats taken care of.
I have to say Copeland was at his best! Crowd was digging it, it took me a while to get into the night since I was working a hell week. Sander finally came on and by far the BEST set I've heard from him! I was expecting a good night, but he was well beyond what I had thought. Once I heard Lutzenkirchen's remix of Bush II Bush - Piano Track, I didn't think I'd EVER stop moving!
The only downfall of the night was the disgusting crowds there. I expect it from the Guv, but not System. Very rude crowd. And Sander did lose me during the prog. trance bit, but still the rest by far made up for it!!!
Got to meet a few TA's, other random people. Tatgirl, it was indeed great meeting you! One of the nicest and most pleasant people I've met!
Driving back home to London right after was definitely a challenge...especially when everyone passed out! lol
My first time really seeing Sander and I was impressed.
Rj convinced us to head down a bit early and was that ever a good decision, we waited about 20 mins, but it sounded like the line exploded right after we got in!
Club was over crowded, but not too crazy!
It was hard to find people which was frustrating but it still didn't get as hot as guvernment can!
Great to see everyone out!
Surprises were Sander's brief trance section which came out of nowhere and was a very nice surprised!
good party

sander played a tight set - noticed a huge difference in his sound since last years party. personally i didn't like the grungy tweaked out bleepy electro or whatever you wan't to call it, but most of the time the music was good and had the crowd groovin. the trancy part with, let me add, UNSANE basslines was very welcomed and reminded me of his earlier years - but i left the dancefloor shortly after hearing that 'luminary' track come in. too much - and if i didn't know better i would've thought armin was behind the decks cause they look so alike anyways
cya at the next one
haha so funny, some people are like "the highlight was the trance part", while others are like "the downside for me was his trance section"
LMAO
jacked from tribe...

Great party. Got there at 12 the line was stupid long, but then the line bypass fairy came along and saved our asses, Wicked. I was really feeling the music in the front room, so i didn't mind the coat check line so much. Sander tore it up as i gave my lesson in flore whoreing. music started to dye down near the end. all in all a good time. nice to meet jay(thanks for the pics), joey and a few of dara's other friends.

I have to say sander knows how to kill a party.. the trancy part was a bit much but ok.. I was the guy going crazy in the front left of the party right by the booth.. sander never disappoints.
