If they're ice cold then it's pretty hard to tell the difference. With vodka though, it's not about taste (since vodka is actually tasteless), but about the aftertaste and aroma of it. It's what you experience AFTER you take the shot, and this is what seperate's crap vodka like Smirnoff, Absolut, and so on from the good vodka like Wyborowa, Stoly, and the premium's of Chopin, Grey Goose and Belvedere. It's not like beer where it's easy to tell the difference between Canadian and Carlsberg. There's also a new brand of Wyborowa out, called Single Estate. They're going after the "premium" market, against Belvedere and Grey Goose. It's sitting by my TV right now, which I may bust out on NYE. From what I've read, it has "aromas of vanilla, marshmallow and fresh baked rye, plus a creamy, lush palate that's toasty and elegant from front to back, Wyborowa's Single Estate Vodka is the complete package." |

I can't believe how many people remarked on how good pickles are..
Yet noone mentioned pickled tomatoes???????
Yes yes, laugh you canucks.. Once you try 'em propa Russian style, you won't need to eat these damn crappy pickles you get at your grocery store..
Mmm.. tonko narezannay buzenina, malosol'nie ogurchiki i pomidori, chesnok, luchok, salo, pel'meshki, smetana, chernii hleb.. damn!! OK sasha, set up the time

PS - 1/2 salted pickles (malosol'nye for the Slavic folk) are way better than the crap that's sold here at Dominion in glass jars...
