We call it pop in gay marriage land, and a can is about 9" in circumference.

I'm not hard right now, but I think I could well be around 4.5. I'll try to measure later if I can remember.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing against the benefits of owning vinyls by any stretch. I own way too many of my own. I just don't think you can question the integrity of a DJ because they haven't started with vinyl, especially in this 'digital age.'

I look at it like a full package.

The music is one thing, but its more than that.

It's like seeing a band play, they could have the greatest songs ever, but if they don't have a stage prescence and an energy, its not the same.

Hence the reason i said I would hate to be a dj that didn't start off with vinyl.

Most of the psytrance parties i go to are entirely spun with cds, and most of those djs have never used vinyl for all sorts of reasons, minly because most psy isnt released on vinyl. However i still think those guys are legitimate djs.

Posted by beats and beeps on Dec-10-2005 07:27:

Man all this record talk.

I just realized, most the music I listen to now is made with analog equipment, but only released on cd, usually because label is too poor for vinyl.

WTFISUP WIT DAT FRIGGIN FRENCHCANADIAN AMBIENT LABELS GET MORE MONEY AND MAKE VINYL NOOBS.

Meanwhile, techno tracks made of random loops chris zimbingading found on his harddrive and rendereds at 192kbs get pressed on high quality vinyl.

I refuse to see live bands.

Price----overdone
Sound----too loud
quality--screaming bleh.

Now if I were into opera or that... then it would be different. Maybe things are different in india? I guess sitars arent that loud... so its pieceful.

Fair enough, i like live shows.

The music (most) was recorded live (ish), and i like to see it like that as well.

A lot of bands who's music i though was very "meh" have really impressed me in some of their concerts.

I SAID PROVE IT WAS INVENTED IN AMERICA.

YOU CANT.

YOU KNOW WHY.

BECAUSE THE VERY FIRST EXPERIMENTAL ELECTRIC GUITARS WERE DEVELOPED IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES AT A VERY CLOSE TIMEFRAME SO IT IS HARD TO SAY.

Posted by beats and beeps on Dec-10-2005 07:44:

Besides wikipedia is userbased.

It doesnt mean shit.

Next youre going to try proving things with urbandictionary.com

I have none to prove where it was invented at all. All I can do is prove what companies took the idea and made it successful, and in my opinion that is not inventing.
