when a society is too bent on conserving what it has, and prevents change, rather than focussing on improvement and progression, it is dying.

sadly this is the case for the attitudes of many of the older-fashioned people in the south asian region.

If i were u, i would:

a) burn down everyone else's house
b) buy a bigger and better sound system so everyone could hear the music
c) arm myself, after having done both of the above

beause i'm so mature.

i think will be a while till people know about true electronic music and then we will be able to see our true PIONEERS of this form.

like you know when you watch a documentary on birth of rock etc. the people who made it a reality. well in a long time we will hopefully see these people in that position giving these people wide public credit.

they deserve it so much, the elctronic music technology goes to much unheard of something needs to be done to educate people about this revolution for people.

remember for people with your i pod's etc imagine if they had not made that sound on a computer. you may not be listening or making music as technology would be delayed.

i think its about time electronic side of music be heard for without being always passed on as a useless conversation and actually think what it has done for people.

the people who grill any type of music in my opinion are very arrogant, music is music so you should atleast have the patience to appriciate a genre regardless.
that seems the way for society now, i wonder if it might be in most people one day to not flam others music because it is cooler or what ever. still there will be songs you will dislike.

IN MY OPINION MOST CAN ARGUE THAT ALL MUSIC IN ELECTRONIC IN A WAY VIA ITS MEANS ALSO!

And yes i do find it hard as someone said before about talking to girls or even boys, its hard to describe where us TA's are coming from music wise. the will find out eventualy as peoples music tastes change so give it time for them to find out, also give them a mix cd of some good songs that you think they may like!

heh, u know, for an 18Y.O living in Australia (granted, victoria), i reckon ur doing awesome.

i like ur sig too.

one thing i always do, is burn multiple copies of live sets.

whenever i'm in someone else's car, i always pop in trance.

when i leave, i leave the CD behind...

if later they see me or call me and say "hey, u left ur CD in my car". i just tell them to keep it.

eventually, they're sure to listen to it, especially if their guys with good sound systems in their cars... ha ha ha (the doof doof effect).

Because it seems that the only type of music which is 'legal' at my college is Punk, Rock, Emo and all that type of stuff, which ain't my thing but I don't really go around slagging it off if you know what I mean? Just curious that's all.

I suggest you set fire to your college while everyone is inside, then stop reffering to it as edm, it sound ghey (am I saying that right).

I don't refer to it as EDM in college, when people just say what music you into, I say Trance and Dance and they then just assume it is off the radio crap which you find on these crappy little clubmix CDs and stuff and tbh there's no point trying to explain because they just instanly have that image burned to their eyelids, that Trance is just the crappy tunes you hear on radio.

Posted by chesco on Dec-18-2005 12:36:

well there is substance to the argument that trance is crap..

But it's not what other people think of trance that's important.

Meh.. FUCK EM.

different strokes...

I found most people to be pretty accepting, it's out there that I dig the scene, and most people just accnolegde that they haven't dabbled in it much, and go on their merry way. folks ask me how I got into it, but are pretty respectful. Even those who see me and don't say anything except "umchica-umchica-umchica" are just doing it out of fun.

When people get currious and ask me to throw some on when the're in my car or someting are plesantly suprised, especially when I play something intelligent on like petter.
