Sevilla thrashed Zenit 4-1. Great result.

Crap result for Boro last night but Im not suprised with the midfield he decided to play. Still a chance in the return leg since we havent conceeded a goal at home in the Cup yet.

I'm glad Sevilla is doing well in the UEFA-cup this season. I hope they can reach the finals, and they're on good way now when they thrased Zenith from St. Petersburg with 4-1 at home.

Boro beat Basel.

A good win, but c'mon. It's Basel.

Now if it's something like Deportivo's assrape of Milan or Monaco's mule beating of Real Madrid after being down a lot after first leg, then it would be something to talk about.

Posted by mentalbarter on Apr-06-2006 21:29:

boro ftw!

Posted by K.I.K.E. on Apr-06-2006 22:04:

Nice, Sevilla.

Semifinals (20/27 April):

Schalke 04 (GER) - Sevilla (ESP)
Steaua Bucuresti (ROM) - Middlesbrough (ENG)

Behave yourself. Any team coming back from a 3 goal defecit, to winning 4-3 in 70 minutes is a massive accomplishment.

Basel had not conceded 4 goals all season, yet the concded 4 in 70 minutes this evening. You can try and deminish the success Boro achieved tonight, but you no doubt will probably be the only one.

I'll be the first one to admit that Swiss football has been impressive this year, with FC Thun and Basel.

But face the facts. These two teams play in a B league. (Maybe even C league)
It's like a Premiership team beating a Championship 4-3 from being down 3-0.

I give credit to Boro for the comeback but it's not something to really rave about.

Yoy really don't know what you are on about and you are the only person who is thinking that after yesterdays game. I've seen Newcastle, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool fans all saying how good a game and a comeback it was.

Sevilla, 0-0 @ Gelsenkirchen. Not bad at all.

Sevilla eliminates Schalke and makes the final. Very deserved.

What a great atmosphere, incredible supporters and animation.

Sevilla - Boro, an entertaining final for sure, and a new UEFA champion.
