I think most poeple post in Chilliout room instead of here as its very busy there and everything there gets replyed in couple of secnds.
meh im still around and still like trance, probably not some of this new shit, but there are some good tunes out there
tyrellllll my fav police officer
Here's what an oldskool TA thinks of all this!
I agree with most people here that TA was a very big thing in the beginning, 2001 and 2002 especially. People seemed to be much more united, even outside the region sections.
Coup, you probably remember how we all met up at Trance Energy in 2002? There was a massive global TA meetup near that cinema inside the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, you guys from England came with like 10 people, there were NLTAs, some from Sweden, Poland, Belgium and France! 50 TAs total!
This was really amazing and we had lots of fun. Such gatherings are rare now.
I've never posted much on TA though, but I kind of stopped altogether after 2002..I don't know...there were all these new immature people coming and invading TAs, that's when flame wars began etc, so fucking annoying.
True that we were all united behind one music style back then, which made for less different opinions. Someone here said that everyone branched off into their own kind of music, this is absolutely true.
I'm from France, but I remember how big UKTA was back in the day!
There actually used to be lots of "fights" between UKTA and FRTA, that was fun to watch
Not so long ago (well, maybe 1 year), there used to be a similar fight between FRTA and Australia TA, was so hilarious, TAs from both sides would hijack each other's threads, with pics of kangaroos and French baguettes, lol.
I don't hang out on FRTA much because most people there bore me, with silly immature jokes and promoting their mixes all the time, but I've got to admit that it's much more active than what UKTA has become! Even though there are only 10 decent trance parties in France each year.
I've moved to England in September and I'm glad to be here, you parties are brilliant, just as nice as in the NL really!
I was hoping that I'd meet some more UKTAs, but that's when I realised how dead the board had become. Oh well, it may be partly my fault, too, I haven't been posting much!
I hope this thread will be a wake-up call, let's organise more meetups at parties from now on guys!
You might not even notice I'm actually French

i think all boards grow and then become elitist making it very difficult for new members to "join in". Slinky forum is going down that route at the moment.
But their are plenty of other very active trance related forums. Godskitchen, DSI, Harderfaster, Peachey Ravers etc etc......
Most of us who have been going out for a while have lost the enthusiasm slightly, c'est le vie.
COR FTW!~!!

im sure TA isn't dead, its just not as good it was in good ol' days, nights at The Republic and Pause in shef and will always be the best nights ever! I don't post on here cuz im in a totally differnet scene now! very very happy here in chester, working as one of the organists at the cathedral.
certainatly wasn't complaining when they handed the keys over to my rent-free apartment in the cathedral grounds!
miss all the old timers, and i reckon u know who u are
I have to say my first trip to gatecrasher with toby, tyrell and adam was one hell of an experience, and meeting a load of people i had only spoken to on the internet was not scary at all. I already felt like i knew these people, and i already did. I had been speaking to them every day for 6 months.
And i will always remember the first trip to the NEC with about 13 of us meeting up. My last meet up was the gkgg i think back in 03. That was a huge meet up, and i still have the pics to this day.

They were some of the best times of my life, and everyone i met was an amazing person, and we all shared the same love of trance
Amazing pics! Wow, they really kick ass!
This was what it was all about back then...I wish I had been in the UK at that time!
I recognise some faces though
Thanks for sharing!!
some mad hairstyle's there
Fecking hell stu, those certainly bring back some memories. Good times!
i'll have to post my pic from fight the power 2004 when i get home tonight, with about 50 of us in it
