Hehehe I get you Epicurus,

we are all here to enjoy some nice music and try to be part of it !
this is really not the place for politics and we dont wanna get this into politics, and I honestly think that you should even have brought this subject up.

As for your last comment

Long live Bashar
hehehe, if things go like this he doesnt have long time to live

i think that these kinds of problems are better resolved in private rather than on the message board.

Marcus' message wasn't taken into consideration considering that he doesnt work for edmm, as malek said it.

lol

dude, i was joking...

EDMM/HP, whatever man, it's all good.

BUT, no competition to our film department... 2 3CCD camera's and a little magician named Jimmy is all I gotta say...

Lea, I'm sorry if I insulted you. I promise you I was only kidding around.

So did he played some preach track??

Posted by elie on Dec-22-2005 02:12:

ok

So I probably was thought to have the most predictable "TIESTO WAS AMAZING" review ... but am I the only one who thought it wasn't that great?

In no part because of Tiesto's set ... just because:
1. He deff did not look happy to be there.
2. He seemed to have alot of problems with his earphones.
3. The bass was SO loud that for 80% of the night, I had NO idea what he was playing because i couldn't hear any of the melodies.
4. Vibe? I have never seen such a lack of it since I went to my last school dance in the 9th grade. Such a better vibe at CIrcus.
5. Very St-Laurent preppy clubbers crowd. Drunk, vulgaire, intimidating for me (I was weating a black wife-beater and felt insanelly underdressed) Keep the DJ's in the after-hours. It keeps away the partiers that are not wanted.
this is all IMO ...

Does anyone agree with me on these things? Maybe i was just in a bad frame of mind.

Props to the organisation, NO line up, at ALL.

ps: didn't see you layloula
I was very upset about this

Personaly i think the sound system wasnt good I couldnt hear the melodies too. Tiesto well wasnt interacting too much with the crowd.
What i liked about the tracklist is that it wasnt too predictable he is slowly changing his style and I think I like his new sound.
I think half of the people there werent meant to be there the vibe wasnt amazing. Good organisation from DkD and Gods. Thanks to Tiesto for coming back ,,, SEE YA ALL @ CELEBRATION...
RIGHT now IM in a Coma

My friends were telling me that Oakenfold was there too just hanging out

Posted by Marcus007 on Dec-22-2005 02:36:

Just like Bono was there last month eh... lol

Apparently a lot of people saw Oaky, he would randomly walk onto the stage during Tiesto's set...

What a coincidence?! That's exactly what happened in my DREAMS! Well, that and I see dead people.

Ok, Elie's right on a few things:
1-Sound system = fucked my ears up (but maybe i stood next to the speakers for pictures a bit too long)
2-Tiesto didnt seem too happy
3-He did seem like he was having problems with his earphones.

#2 and #3 dont really make much of a difference, half of the crowd is high on god knows what and the rest is just there enjoying the show...i dont see those things as bad things.

Crowd wise - it's tiesto and somehow, i think that at circus the crowd was the same if not 'poor-er'. It's very normal - i find - to see such crowds when tiesto's playing.

Elie, you're wrong about the crowd - usually, with alcohol, you see a more violent crowd, and trust me, when we were there at circus (we = malek, jimmy, markess and myself) we were pushed and pushed and pushed. people werent polite and were very brutal - but not last night.

and by the way, am the guy you talked to if you remember...

Yea, you are right about the violent crowds. I guess it was just me then- I was tired and cranky and probably was expecting too much? I have grown accustomed to a specific type of enviroment. The Stereo kind of crowd/vibe, I dont know if that makes any sense. Being thrown back into there felt like nightmares from the past (Cafee campus every sat, anyone remember those good old days!?)

I may have exagerated a little, I think back and remember being pretty happy all night long, but leaving unsatisfied- I guess that is what I am all grumpy about. Way too high expectations!

Ok, the girls were all 17! I kept talking to girls and asking how old they were ... 17, 17 .... 17 .... 16!?!?!?!? 17 .... LOL it was pretty funny. The crowd was alot less high then at circus ... at circus alot of the kids semeed like they were on speed for there first time- funny to see.

Of course I remember you, It was nice to meet you! Thank goodness for text messaging. We deff were 0.5 FEET from the speakers. Our faults ... LOL - Don't we have the same name?!

yep, defiently not Oaki, but looked like clones to me

Elie, you were standing next to the speakers most of the night man, hehehe the sound was really bad there and the crowd was beurk too near the stage... and there was a bunch of 16 years tiny girls too right in front...

the crowd was defiently better at medley than circus in general, and lots of people who never been to a EDM party... cause its regular club hours, its accessible.

Nobody spoke about the line-up?? How many time people had to wait outdise? Me i wait 30 sec!!! The set of Tiesto was nice, really different, if we compare whit the one at circus!! He played only 3 tracks of his own productions...all night long was tracks whit huge basse line!! The only negative point to me was the lightman, NO FUCKING LIGHT ON TIESTO!!!! I don't know where he learn to play whit lights, but the basic thing should be to put some light on the principal attract!! anyway, i had one of my best night, remembering tiesto@illume in 2002!!!

Posted by DJ_SideFx on Dec-22-2005 05:27:

I agree withg you dj Ugo, i didnt see one light on Tiesot, he was always in the dark and with all the smoke, he was like a ghost, we knew he was there but couldn't see him loooooooool
