Hey Jon, even my Japanese Friends like your track

Posted by Drik on Jan-15-2006 21:14:

Hey mate, think I've said I loved this before, but here's my feelings anyway..

Great intro, very crisp and crunchy sound. Mixing and mastering stands out right away as being pro. Nice bassline

Like the synth stabs at 1:25
Nice synths at 2:07,
Hmm, that kick break at 2:09, supposed to be like that? It jumped out at me while listening anyway.

Nice stringwork at the break 2:44, very powerfulstrings enhanced with the subby bassy string. Great synth stabs. Energy at 3:40
Nice
And it keeps buildup until the release at 4 min, nicely executed mate.

Very nice track, keep it up!

Very neat production, but I would love to hear some kind of "above&beyond"-style pulsating in the track, it would fit great, trust me

Posted by staticblue on Jan-17-2006 09:28:

thanks

websley, what do you mean by "a&b pulsating" ??

Posted by DJ Dinz on Jan-17-2006 16:27:

on the money once again

Posted by StanVoid on Jan-23-2006 06:57:

pretty professional sounding, although a bit over-compressed i'd say. During the breakdown, the pads/melody/bass strings reminded me very much of the melodic progression in Mike Shiver's "Feelings"

Nevertheless, pretty nice!

Stan.

thanks Stan and gazra !

love it.

especially the break. the sound characteristic of that lead at 3:12, just awesome (did you customize that? or do anything special to it?)

but i think the main part could've been more to it, hard to explain. i bet if you went up another octave, that might do it, IMO.

but your stuff is always quality...thanks for the download! it's nice to see guys like you who have shit out on labels make stuff for free for everyone...props to you...

Smiley DJ

i didnt read the rest of this thread:

after giving it a couple of hard listens, ive come up with 2 places i dont like, the drums as the very first sound kinda 'cheap,' and the cutoff around 2:54 in was a tad cheesy.

otherwise, this was right fucking on. quite a wide range of sounds and uses. i think i even picked up some real old school stuff from back in the mid 80s.

great track.

thanks. The lead in the main part is just a couple of V-Station plucks

thx to Caleb too !
