And they both have screen-door effect

Drives me absolutely insane, but for the price I cannot really complain.

Well you know how LCD screens can't change the size of their pixels, right? Look directly at it. You'll see it. Looks like the screen is covered in dust, or if you're looking at it through a screen door. It's a phenomenon that affects all projection LCD TVs.

I hope I didn't just ruin your TV for you.

That's a classic Woddy Allen flick, comedy nowadays is pretty unoriginal. Did you see the part with the sheep dressed up in stockings?

I have the 3100 and OMFG I hate it. As far as performance goes...it's an absolute joke (then again it's Rogers so what do u expect).

And I noticed that most signals are in HD 16:9; ABC, CBS, Fox and PBS most often. What pisses me off is when there's a Leaf game on sportsnet (channel 22) and when I go to sportsnet HD is some fucking curling bullshit...in HD, no less

I have an HDPVR box that supports HDMI and it came only with component cables... check the packaging before buying.

Are you guys happy with your Sony LCD? I got a Samsung 61" DLP about a month ago and I would like your opinion on how good the picture is. Overall I am happy with the picture on mine but my hubby is going on about some problems with it. I honestly can't tell so we may return it and get the equivalent Sony 60".

Pls let me know !

I love the hell out of this thing. Gran Turismo 4 on PS2 with the HDMI input in 1080i is something to behold, I'll tell ya that much.

GLORIOUS picture quality. The only problem with LCDs is that to hardcore people the blacks look slightly washed out, but I don't notice a problem.

my pops has a sony 30" wega crt tv and I loved the hdtv when I was there.

discovery is the best channel hands down...505 or 507 (iirc).
i shouldve brought my ps2 with me . damn it.

We did it yesterday. Gran Turismo 4 in 1080i is surely something to behold. I wish it did 720p though

It's awesome cause Sony has a PS2 -> HDMI input, so we both win at life, malek Hooray Sony!

Yes, it is the Signal. Not the Cable. Rogers HD #501 Demo Channel, Cold Play demo section. Digital Audio. That ALWAYS has breaks in it. It's a defective track....and a piss poor dumbass thing to have on a DEMONSTRATION channel

I hate dealing with Rogers.

I do this for a living. Building Home Theatres. Setting up HD-TV's all day long. You name it I've done it....and been pissed off at it.

That Screen Door effect annoys me about LCD-P's. But they are getting a lot better. I can't wait for No-Wheel DLP's (cause i can see the rainbows and that pisses me off too)

I'm a big LCD Panel Fan...but only if I get a refresh of under 12-10ms. Then I'm happy.

I still want an Acer 26" 16:9 LCD for my computer. DVI-D in, 720p Native. Philips panel just rebadged. I can live with that. I picked up an ATI 9250 AGP for dirt cheap the other week for it too.

Hey...what is your board name on Digital Home Canada?

Posted by VERTiG0 on Jan-15-2006 13:31:

I'm glad that Rogers has enabled the DVI out on the back of the 3250HD terminal. I'm running a DVI to HDMI cable from that into my TV now and its reassuringly good.
