Well, they dont have much power, they can hardly do anything, and with that said, the U.S, comes like some people call "the world police" and takes action. Exactly how mean would this letter be? I think it should be pretty mean, but we don't want to hurt their feelings or anything.

A funnier letter would be the talks between Russia and the Ukraine when Ukraine was threatening Russia with war over that hydro electric plant or whatever a few years ago.

We should write them a letter but in the letter it should state:

Dear Iran,

We are nuking your ass off.

I cant believe how stupid most people are puttin the letter as an option, seriously. I mean, if they havent listened to us all this time, what difference will the letter make?

Actualy, I think a coup from the inside (Ahmadinejad is not very popular at all, not even amongst the conservative mullahs who despise his irrational behavior) is far more likely than a military strike form the US and or Israel in the near future.

I dont want to repeat everything again from start, but you see about the coup and Iranians hating Ahmadinejad is what CNN tells you. Its a propaganda war, in reality Iranianans love him and he has full support of Hardliners as he himself is one of them.

Well, in a way, yes.

In 2002 Bush named Iran as a member of the "axis of evil". In the years since then, Iran has had the benefit of being able to sit back and observe how the US has treated the other two nations that it considered to be part of this "axis". In this case, much of the hyperbole in this thread about the dangers of Iran developing nuclear bombs is largely unfounded. None of the current nuclear states developed nuclear weapons for aggressive purposes and I'm not sure why we should immediately suspect that Iran's aims would be any more malevolent, or any more of a threat to global security.

Having said that, I do disagree strongly with any state - let alone an unstable, theocratic one like Iran - being allowed to develop a nuclear weapons program. There are enough of them in the world today as it is. So my solution to prevent Iran from "getting the bomb" would be firstly, yes, to write a very angry letter, with exclamation points and angry looking emoticons and everything. If that doesn't work (it won't) then - short of a long, drawn-out, multilateral negotiation process (a la North Korea) - sanctions really are the only option. To prevent the sort of horrors that occurred under Iraqi sanctions, however, they should be specifically targetted - say a complete ban on military trade. To drive the point home, the UN should also threaten sanctions upon any nation that provides Iran with the equipment it needs to produce the weapons - after all, Iran won't be able to get there without outside help.

And if none of that works? Targetted military strikes perhaps, although that could end up causing more problems than it solves. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get to it...

Does Austrailia have a nuke? Because i guess Australia desearves to have a nuke because they have been kissing our american ass since the iraqi war.

Back to Iran. I'd say let there be war. It will cost hundreds of thousands of lives and the American people would be upset that this war would cost billions of dollars while I will not be upset this time and invest my money in URS!!! Since the start of the Iraqi war there stockprice went from $24 to $40! I could have made so much money it just upsets me that I missed out.

Although i truly despise the people in power that control iran... i still agree that if they feel threatened by any nation... they should be allowed to develop nuclear weapons if they want. Any nation knows that using a nuclear weapon would ultimately lead to their own destruction, however, any leaders wouldnt want to see their own nation destroyed. They know better than that.

Nukes enable a nation to be taken seriously as opposed to a nation that can just be attacked.

Look at pakistan.. they have nukes and its also a fundementalist muslim nation.

OIL.. it all comes down to US interests in oil and domination of states that CAN be attacked.

North Korea can NEVER be attacked... Pakistan can NEVER be attacked.

If Iraq had a nuke .. The iraq war would never have happened.
