Originally posted by igottaknow I've always lived in New England but I'm giving serious thought to moving to another area in the US. So I wanted to get a sampling of what ppl think of their current location, where they would like to move and why. I'm currently living out in the country. what I don't like is that there aren't a lot of social/economic opportunities for younger single ppl and the weather sux. What I do like is that's there is no crime. I mean you can leave your car and house unlocked and not worry. People here respect one another's property. I've left my wallet at a restaurant and come back to find it returned without dollar missing. You can go for a walk at night and not have to worry about your safety. I know you can't have your cake and eat it too. Cities provide a vibrant life I just don't care for the crime and lack of respect you seem to always get in the city. Anyways I have my eye on San Diego. I've gone out on vacation there, the weather is sweet and lots of fun things to do. Unfortunately expensive, lots of traffic, and that socal life style.

Originally posted by D-res arizona for the fuckin lose.. anyone who lives in a desert is an idiot. first off you've almost sucked the colorado river DRY because you have no adequate water source and yet, you still have manmade lakes and sprinklers in your lawn going to keep the grass green every day. anyone else think thats a stupid idea? and sadly, pheonix is growing and sprawling out at a ridiculous scale. if you're going to be ignorant enough to live in a desert, atleast keep your cities dense, live in buildings with other people, not houses and stop demanding a half acre back yard. god DAMN that pisses me off

Montreal = teh win
Great social life, tons of job opportunities in a lot of sectors, GREAT EDM scene, great food, great shopping....The only drawback is a cold ass winter...But if you could brave that, you'll love living here, guaranteed.

Originally posted by D-res atlanta isnt that big.. 415,000 maybe? its all suburbs. the sprawl from that city is beginning to cover over half the state of Georgia and there are suburbs in what like... 4 different states? Yes, every city has sprawl issues, some worse than Atlanta, but Atlanta's sprawl is a direct cause to the traffic problems, dirty air and water problems and even obesity. I know.. sooounnnnds crazy, but its nutz. i suppose it doesnt help adding over 120,000 people a year so there is a lot of unplanned growth, but the last thing that area needs is more people wanting the american dream and spreading the problems out even more

Colorado?

Originally posted by HardTranceProd Not really. Montreal is a very very small town. It's just got two central streets where the bars are and that's it. Not that many people ![]() HOWEVER, yes, a lot more liberal, much more pleasant in that respect than the US.

Seattle is starting to look more like a Puritan town *spelling. We have so many new laws that are going against the liberties of the people. Rules against smoking, what alcohol can be sold in stores, and laws that prevent strippers from being within 4 feet of the patrons, which means no more lap dances. No whether or not you agree with these laws, this is a direct contradiction against the idea of liberty. Nickels and all of his minions who are now the nannies of Seattle and who claim to be liberal democrats, deciding what is best for the people, are no better then oppressive politicians who are using political and social coercion to make us do what they want to do. For being such a liberal city, we are starting to look like Salt Lake City. If there's one thing I hate more than conservatives, it's politicians who claim the name liberal or democrat but practice politics that go against everything of what liberty and democracy stands for.
