Sorry, I'm just cut-and-pasting Tiesto comments and replacing the name from the last thread where a DJ played an event like this.
But seriously, is someone willing to take a stab at why the comments are so different this time around?

let's just rehash the info once more.
he is not spinning there, he made a piece of music along side a dancing dude to open the Olympics.
Will Hawtin atleast wear the Canadian flag since our althetes won't???

Most of the time I forget everything richie has done...it's incredible when you think about it.
On that note, most DJs are doing work now that is outside the normal realm of DJing and producing music for clubs. I was surprised to learn Misstress Barbara has produced music for video games and she did a track that is being used at the Cannes Film Festival, I believe. Lots of artists collaborate on non-dancefloor oriented projects, we just don't hear about them.
