-- Naked In Front of Your Friends?
Pages (3): « 1 2 [3]
i dont have any super close girlfriends at the moment (just girls i know from school who i invite out every once in a while), but if i did have a "best friend", i wouldn't care. my best friend from high school and i used to be naked in front of each other all the time. she used to make me go in the bathroom and talk to her while she took a crap
what about your parents? obviously the parent of the same sex as you. im naked in front of my mom all the time. well, not completely naked, unless she happens to be around when i get out of the shower or something. but i change in front of her a lot and vice versa.

if you're like in the locker room or something and changing, well...can't really be avoided, but as a general rule getting naked with friends is only cool if it's girls and their having a tickle fight...

There's a big cultural difference between Europe and the States on this issue. In many European countires women can expose their breasts on the beach, for example, and it's no big deal (which is how it should be). In America people are aghast at such immoral depravity. The culture suffers from some sort of pathological puritanism, even insisting that small children wear top pieces. I mean, at least we've gotten past the 19th century, where women had to bathe in dresses, but there's still a residue of repressed sexuality underneath the whole thing when compared to Europe.
As for the gay angle, I'm sort of confused as to why straight men would be uncomfortable around eachother, except out of some sort of prudishness and insecurity. For gay men it's definitely awkward to be naked around each other, but I don't see why that would be a problem for straight men, any more than I would care about going into a sauna with naked women.
One of my friends dads used to chill around his house naked. I'd be staying the night at his house and *whoops* there goes nude-dad walking down the hall. The worst was when I went to use the bathroom once - the door was open and the lights were off - and I turn on the light and there's nude-dad just chilling on the toilet. REVERSE, REVERSE!
Nude-friends are ok in particular circumstances; whereas nude-dads are almost never ok.

) man.
Well, here in the cook islands, it is generally frowned upon
