girls like trance (most all of them)
but there arent any who LOVE trance to the extent they would post on TA and stuff like that

i only know of one is as hardcore as the people on this board

but no one i know of hates trance (girls or guys)

Daph, i'm going to have to agree with what spad said here, (although you are an enigma in this case )

I don't think that girl's don't have a good ability at trainspotting, as they obviously can (see yourself ), but i just think that guys (for the most part) tend to be more passionate about music than girls. Heh, try doubting me on that one!

I know loads of girls into trance
someone else said on here that the girls love trance cos of the melodys and such, i got to agree, the girls i know who are into trance love the sweet melodys and they can dance to them.
As far as trainspotting goes, Wlcked Red has an incredibly good ear when it comes to spotting tracks.
I also agree that Guys tend to be more into knowing all the facts and figures behind anything, like cars, like sports stats etc but there are plenty of females into that too.
Red and i can talk for hours about techniques, the samples used, the feel of a track, previous productions from artists etc etc.

I belive that the girls of TA post less about this cos of the sheer amount of guys that posts opinions and belive that they are right and are too blinkered to accept another point of veiw specily if it comes from a female.
Any debate on any subject has to be from ppl who have their minds open to the others point of veiw, If you are so set in your ways then no matter how well informed the other person is, you will still refute their arguement.

I hope that more of the ta girls will post on music debates and that the guys will be open enough to respect those points of veiw and treat the girls on here as equals.

I dunno why, I dun think anyone can say that theres just as many girls into trance as guyz.. it's not true, I dunno why.. I know other girls totally into other music, but w/ trance? hmm is it the fact that dj culture is mostly male dominated (not that theres no opportunity for girls as djs, they can totally do well, infact I think that there may be more opportunity for them at the moment, seeing a girl dj is special, for me as a girl, they're somewhat rolemodels, except for the dj in a thong girl or whoever she is) I dunno if it's the whole technical thing (that's associated with producing, djing etc etc) that doesn't appeal to us because of our cultures or society, you know what I mean? I agree with Twillogoddess, it doesn't mean that we're not good at it, but I agree with some other posts I read about it not being as appealing to girls..

well whatever, I used to question this a lot before, but now I kinda accept it...

i really don't see girls listening to the hard stuff on radio or something... only the melodic stuff

i've yet to personally meet a girl into trance as much as me. i tend to find there's 2 kinda gurls at parties. those who can dance really well but only like d'n'b or breaks, who are fun to watch cause they're kick ass dancers. and house hoochies. electric circus queens who shake their money maker, typically bad dancers, but still fun to watch, but for a totally different reasons (and if u can't read between the lines, cause the dress really skimpily, d-uh)

I met this girl that was totally into trance... it was amazing..
She came in asking for the movie "groove" (cause i work @ blockbuster), and my first reaction was....
"oh geeez, another lamo-raver-wanabe" well it turned out we got started talking about digweed, which turned into a "i love pvd" conversation, and all in all i was really impressed witht the level of knowledge this little bird had in her brain... she started rambling off all these productions!!!!!! it was g-reat!

Hey-- excuse me, but I myself love trance.. that and progressive house... sure i like other genre's and have an appreciation of different types of music, but who says that there arent many girls who like trance?? honestly though, maybe for the most part a lot of us don't have the time or have this place on the top of our priorities.. not to say that we dont like talking to everyone here, but when we do have time...we do. just a harmless idea though.

that's y i used words like "yet" and "tend". believe me, don't think i'm not looking for a nice girl who happens to like trance. i know she's out there, and if she happens to be the girl of my dreams...all the more better

This posting is too generalizing. I'm a girl and I listen to trance religiously. I just don't post as much as I DL (and believe me I DL quite frequently). I think, in general, it's hard to find anyone (whether it's guy or girl) to be way into trance like the people here on this board. I've only found one other person that's into trance like me, but then again he was the one that introduced me to TA last year.

I converted my ex-gf back in the US to love trance and most all forms of electronic music (she has since decided to go to raves by herself and found herself a new raveboy and dumped me, that bitch! hehe)

But yeah, don't lose faith. Worst come to the worst, come out to Asia, you will find TONS of chicks who love trance.
