Does anyone know what local stores charge? (Long & McQuade)

Posted by The Wiz on Feb-03-2006 06:01:

I am ordering some right now.

Ive been meaning to get earplugs for a long time, and this has given me a good kick in the arse. I have noticed that my ears are getting really sensitive lately and I always tend to get horrible ringing after a night out, it's brutal.

Long & McQuade didnt have this brand, and the similar ones they have cost $20 and they're outta stock. Mail order it is!

Ordered 3 pairs today. 1 pair for Cuzo, and 2 for me (in case I lose them).

Posted by tatgirl on Feb-07-2006 20:47:

Whoa- I'm a little pissed right now.
I ordered mine online (3 pairs), yet the UPS guy JUST showed up at my door asking for another $38 in handling fees!!! I refused the delivery for now, gonna call the company to find out the deal if I can refuse them & get a refund. There's no way I'm spending a total of nearly $80 for 3 prs of earplugs.

WTF?!?

Posted by tatgirl on Feb-07-2006 21:08:

Just called the company. I can refuse them and they'll resend them normal mail. Phew! Only downer is that it will take yet more time to receive them.

Note to anyone ordering these: Call the company and make sure they send them regular mail, and not UPS, to avoid such a situation.

Note to anyone having ANYTHING shipped to them UPS from the US: Make sure they do not list the value of the package as anything higher than $20 if you dont want to pay any handling fees. If the item is valued between $20.01- $40, u pay around $18 handling. Between $40.01- $100, its $31+ dollars.
