Break?? You're gonna go to Japan for an entire month and not go clubbing over there? I'm dying to do that. At work my boss was telling me about a club she went to in Guang Zhou China that had huge fans on the floor that suspended clubbers in the air. I hear clubs in Asia in general are nuts. Hopefully I can make a trip out there myself by December.

... and yeah PvD probably would have charged out the ass

now this sounds like a blast!! I hope I'm back from my July 4th week at Lake Winnepesaukee by then, would be a great cap to a sick week!

I'll have no time to relax during the 4 weeks that I'll be spending there considering I'll be take 3 courses (of which one is an intermediate Japanese language course) and the fact that I'll be living with a host family (I'm pretty sure it'd be super disrespectful to come home late at night, if not to return at all). Aside from that, I'll be about an hour away from Tokyo (in Mishima in the Shizuoka Prefecture) by bullet train. Way too much travel time for me.

I'll have plenty of time to make up for it, though, since I'll more than likely be studying in Japan for a year starting this fall.

Aahhhh....just when you begin to think that NYC is the best place for partying...these laws come up!!! Painful!

Sad to see this could stop you from having a good time. Think about it for a second...

11pm till 7am = 8 hours
4pm till 11pm = 7 hours

Really not that big of a difference and since Armin comes on at 6 you are seeing him longer then you normally would inside a club.

Restrictions
City rules: NO ALCOHOL, NO SWIMMING. NO PETS are allowed in the playground. PETS ALLOWED in the park; they must be leashed and you must clean up after your pet.

there goes the idea of haveing a few drinks

you know, we can do without not just yours but some other people's constant jabs at trance. we all get it, some of you have outgrown trance, stop beating a dead horse already.

i might go to this, gonna wait for some mroe details...

I think I'll probably come up from Boston with a few peeps for Saturday night's event... Definitely seems like a good thing to have 6 hours of Armin, in which the venue is apparently great and in which a sunset with my favorite DJ is included.. Also never been at an 'outdoor' event before.. so should be good!

ever heard of a brown paper bag? the local bum on the subway has mastered the art of it...

*edit* there've been drinks at central park for summerstage. i'm sure there's a special permit that allows alcohol to be served in the city's parks...

Sweet! I'm there for at least one of the nights.

Hey, Made Event (or any other big NYC promoter), how does the idea of putting a big trance DJ on an uninhabited beach (other than Jones) and letting him do an outdoor set all night sound, kinda like PVD summerstage, only at nighttime and with it being on a beach, there's little risk of pissing anyone off with the music.

That would be sick but think of all the E heads and drunks running in the ocean all screwed up. Not a good idea.
