Ukraine will be dangerous. Probably most underestimated team in the WC, remember the Croats in 94 with Suker??? Looks the same with Scheva.

man, no offence or anything, but those rankings are whacked. With their B team, England defeated the USA less than a year ago 2-1 in Chicago and have never been placed above the USA since the last Euro. England just beat Argentina and Uruguay, won their WC qualifying group, etc etc and they're still NINTH? Who does the USA ever play? Mexico and Canada? I mean come on. They're a good team, but not in the top 5 class of the world.

FIFA is fucked and their ranking system even moreso. Nobody really pays attention to it anyway, but it's still annoying every month they come out and it's another eye roll inducing ranking.

I was going to point that out as well untill i read this post. The US r way overrated. When the only games u play r against canada ans south american countries that have like 30 people living in them u r obviously going to be ranked high because you would kill them all. If they were in europe they would be ranked at about the same level as canada and probely wouldent make the WC.

would be nice, but do they have Bobans and Prosineckis? Suker was brilliant, but Croatia was more than just him

Hey hey....not THAT much luck! LOL

No one wants to see Croatia there more than me, obv unlikely, but my DREAM
I will be in germany on June 12th, we have Brazil the next day

My predictions will come in June after all the injuries are known....
I will say that it will be VERY tough for a S.American team to pull it off....

Posted by Cloud on Mar-20-2006 15:15:

hey hey, leave Greece alone...

Friendlies this week

Interesting things going on in the US.....since the US is playing Germany in their final(i think) tune up to the World Cup it looks like the US Media is using it to determine how popular football is here. Now you all know my stance on US football and how shitty it is and how I hate it but this could be a vital week for US "soccer".

A friend of mine who interns at ESPN which covers US Internationals said that most of the media outlets will look at the ratings of this game with much interest. Why you ask?

Football is quite popular here in the US but with youths then after they are 16 they stop playing it, its more of a hobby here. The direction to hype up football here has been the US National team ever since their WC 02 performance and their rivalry with Mexico. Nothing has changed though which leads many marketing ppl who want the US to have a strong interest in football (big bucks) that they should focus on other national teams.

This has already started since most people know more about the English League than they do the "MLS"(our shitty league). Most people think the next WC winner or Brazil even if they dont win it will be the big push on the US Soccer plan........

Found it very interesting you guys may not
